This cottage was perfect for my spouse, our small dog, and me for 8 nights. So cozy and in a beautiful remote location while also being close to town. Owners live on property and were so lovely! They respected privacy the whole time and also said hello when out and about on property. Be prepared to see deer, bald eagles, and other birds galore! This was the most peaceful place to come home to after an adventure day on Vancouver Island. And that view!! I hope to stay here again on a future Canada trip!

Barry’s handcrafted retreat, The Feather, is truly a hidden gem perched high atop a hill, with breathtaking panoramic views stretching from the highlands all the way to the Olympic Mountains. Waking up eye-level with swallows and eagles, or winding down in the spectacular tub set against honestly the best view on Vancouver island, made each moment feel uniquely special.Every detail of the space felt intentional: the kitchen was perfectly equipped, the bed wonderfully comfortable, and the atmosphere serene. Barry himself was the ideal host, warm, welcoming, and genuinely proud of the remarkable home he built. Staying was a privilege.The Feather stands out as an experience truly, and literally, above the rest. Thanks, Barry and fam!
