Malahat Fairyland Cottage

Simply enchanting. The property and location were spectacular. We saw loads of seals, orcas came by but we sadly missed their passing (heard about them from friendly neighbors). The hot tub with a view was icing on the cake. So quiet and peaceful, would love to come back. Coffee, oil and seasonings provided on site, otherwise remember to pick up groceries on your way in, not a lot of options in the immediate area.

the floor heaters worked great once I turned them on. not a bad thing, but a little heads up or instruction would have prevented a chilly morning, not a big deal.

Everything, a dreamy getaway, absolutely amazing 🤩

It is in the wilderness, squirrels 🐿️, deer, local sea otters 🦦, glamping pure. I loved it 💗.

The location, the setting and the house were all like something out of a fairytale. Surrounded by nature and very private , it was the perfect way to decompress and relax.

Honestly it was truly an amazing stay. The only thing I would mention is that it could use a little wipe down and dusting. I needed to wipe Fingerprints off the counters, cabinets and fridge , and clean the coffee maker .The lighting and higher up places are dusty and have some cobwebs which I understand it’s going to happen in a place like this. Those things would not deter me from staying again though. It is unique and lovely.

This is truly one of the best vacation rentals I have ever stayed at. Nestled in a quiet bay in Malahat, the property is both secluded and breathtakingly beautiful. Covering an expansive 53 acres, the house is built on the hillside overlooking the bay, complete with its own private dock. During our stay, we were lucky enough to see seals resting on the dock and wild deer wandering through the forested grounds. On the other side of the property, the beach is rich with shellfish, making the whole experience feel absolutely magical. The house itself is exquisitely decorated with unique touches, including many traditional Chinese elements that show the host’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Every corner reflects a sense of care and artistry. Overall, this was a dreamy stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking both comfort and wonder in Malahat.
