Where to start? Location: Absolutely stunning area, located in a Scot’s pine forest with walks to the river Oich and better still in the mountain behind including one of the old military roads.Fort Augustus is a 5 minute drive, or 25 minute walk if you want to enjoy the pubs. With our 2 dogs this meant we could walk each morning and then chill in the afternoon. I use the Komoot hiking app so we found ourselves in secluded woods and areas each day.Travelling from our home in the Lake District, I’m lucky to have stunning scenery, but this location is like the Lakes on steroids,Accommodation: I honestly cannot praise Wildwood enough. With just the 2 of us and our dogs it was a shame not to have other people there to see it. It’s beautiful. The furnishing, layout, facilities are the best I’ve experienced across the highlands. And I’ve been going yearly before my father got MND for 25 years. Isle of Skye, Roybridge, Fort William etc.Wildwood beat them all hands down.Communication & Interaction: Ray was brilliant from start to finish, gave me great guidance & welcome guides, and was so quick at helping when (by my own fault) I struggled to get hot water. Went above and beyond.Cleanliness: The housekeeper was there when we arrived (again our fault as we arrived early) and was brilliant, she was so thorough and helpful, again going above and beyond.Overall: Immediately looked to book to return for New Year but unsurprisingly it’s already in use! Back Soon!

Our whole family absolutely loved our stay at Wildwood. It is in a great location, in a quiet forest, but within easy walking distance of Fort Augustus. We hope to return.

Overall the property was a great base for touring where we wanted to go. It’s in a peaceful location with great walks nearby yet close to Fort Augustus with all the amenities there. We greatly enjoyed our time there.

Had a fantastic holiday with the family in a magical place

Lovely quiet position, clean and comfortable accommodation. Christmas decorations were put up for us and lots of welcome goodies. A disappointment only came as we arrived at 13:00 as we had been advised we were welcome after 12:00 as a special arrangement but unfortunately the house keeper was unaware of this . Also the inability to watch bbc and itv was a shame and we had to use our lap tops to watch normal tv which I do understand but not everyone may be equipped . Obviously we were on a nature holiday as it were but in the winter with dogs your evening entertainment is limited . But I would definitely recommend as a beautiful, clean and well equipped place to stay.

Great sized accommodation with plenty of space and storage. Excellent location with a forest literally on its doorstep and with Fort Augustus & Loch Ness only a couple of km away. Peace and tranquility guaranteed.

What a wonderful lodge ... everything you need home from home. Perfect location for our trips ie climbing Ben Nevis. Very spacious with the added bonus of the boot room so all the muddy walking gear can be contained to one space. The views are stunning with woodland walks on the doorstep. Highly recommend
