Such a lovely property

The property was clean well maintained and cosy.

Very clean and cosy,free parking outside and all the little things you'd need for a comfortable stay,our host kindly let us check in early,would highly recommend and hope to stay again when in the area,thankyou

All was great

Good location - it’s on a main road with easy access to nearby towns such as Halifax and Huddersfield. Modern decor, quite well decorated. Street parking wasn’t a problem in October. Sainsbury’s Local was within easy walking distance (you could almost see it standing outside the front door). Central heating was very capable of making the house extremely warm if required. Comfortable bed. Bedside tables include power sockets as well as device charging USB sockets. Large TV, and a second TV in the bedroom. Good internet - 40-odd MB both up and down with the signal strength downstairs rated excellent. The church is almost directly across the road - Ellen liked hearing the bell ringing.

Though it is a complete house, not an apartment, it’s what used to be called a starter home - a one room upstairs (plus bathroom) one room downstairs end terrace, listed on The Move Market as 560 square feet. There was no tumble drier while we were there. I was told when I enquired that it had gone wrong the day before we arrived and been sent for repairs. There were a couple of plumbing issues that I made the host aware of that should have been fixed by the time you arrive. There was also a damp issue, possibly a roof problem, that may have been fixed by the time you visit. There’s no railing going up the stairs so this isn’t for people with mobility issues; it’s also easy to bang your head. Combi boilers like the one fitted here can be frustrating to use. That isn’t a fault, it’s just what they’re like. There don’t appear to be any tables in the kitchen/lounge other than two card tables. The house isn’t overly burdened with power sockets but that isn’t unusual for rental properties - bring an extension cord if you have one. There was bad traffic in the area when we arrived, though we may have just been unlucky, and Halifax is better not driven through - you may want to think about whether you want somewhere more rural.
