The Peckham Pad

My stay at The Peckham Pad was quite okay. The host was very kind and helpful. The location was perfect - very close to the railway station. The facilities were extra convenient. The room was very clean.

It was super hot in the room but it was probably due to the heatwave.

Very convenient location for our trip. It’s situated on the vibrant Peckham Road. The room was pleasantly quiet. Good for Peckham and Camberwell – lots of interesting and varied shops, parks and restaurants around.

The room/flat was clean, comfortable, self-contained, and very functional overall. All the appliances were working. Nice to have some teas and coffees in the room, and some toiletries and a hairdryer in the bathroom. I travelled alone for work and it was the perfect accommodation for the purpose of my trip. I also quite enjoyed working at the small table by the window which overlooks the back of the premise. I was surprised by how quiet the flat was considering the lively main road on its footsteps with many culturally diverse shops and eateries. I could hear other travellers (?) entering and leaving the other flats in the premise but it was quiet overall. Peckham Rye Station is literally round the corner and very convenient with frequent and rapid services to London Bridge and connections to Central London. I was undecided between the Peckham Pad and the local Travelodge, but I would choose the Peckham Pad again. The area offers a glimpse of London diversity, which I like (and I am familiar with the area), although I understand from others' comments that might not be everyone's cup of tea!

Nothing. One very minor point is that the shower hose was not perfectly connected to the shower head and so the pressure of the water in the shower had some hiccups at times but not a big deal.

In generale l'appartamento è localizzato vicino a molteplici linee di treno e autobus, rendendolo ben collegato al centro città. Sono presenti vari supermercati a piedi e diversi ristoranti, in base ai vostri gusti personali. Ha un accettabile rapporto qualità-prezzo. L'host è stata generalmente disponibile e abbastanza veloce a risolvere i problemi che sono venuti alla luce durante il soggiorno. Il letto è piuttosto comodo per farsi una dormita. Infine, sebbene sia situato sopra un ristorante, non si sente quasi niente (giusto la ventola del ristorante sottostante, fino alle 23).

- a dispetto di quanto ufficialmente riportato, non è presente alcuna aria condizionata nell'appartamento - in generale era un po' sporco, anche volendo tenere conto del costo, abbiamo dovuto pure ripulire il ventilatore che ci è stato messo a disposizione - la zona non è molto piacevole e accogliente, anzi direi piuttosto degradata e sporca. Sebbene non sia da imputare all'host, mi sento di sconsigliarlo per persone ansiogene. - la cucina e il bagno hanno il minimo necessario per essere utilizzati, senza tenere conto di un soggiorno prolungato. O la persona media mangia sempre fuori, oppure mi sfugge come si possa usare bagno + cucina per tanti giorni. Personalmente, se mi arrivasse una prenotazione per 8 giorni, procederei ad aggiungere un po' di carta igienica o sapone per le mani in più. - l'affaccio è su un tetto dove ci sono vari piccioni, valutate attentamente dove lasciate il cibo.
