Hotel Berati

Our host was amazing, we had trouble finding the route up to the property, so he came down to drive us up, in exchange for following him to stock up on beers for the cafe. Nothing was too much trouble, he couldn't do enough for us and he was simply outstanding. Travel can be mundane, I do enough of it, but this was an experience I will never forget. I highly recommend, as does my son

Las vistas desde el alojamiento eran espectaculares, cuesta un poco llegar pero merece la pena por las vistas. Esta al lado del castillo y tienes una panorámica de toda la ciudad. El desayuno estaba muy rico.

La habitación era un poco cutre y no tenía aire acondicionado. El acceso con el coche es complicado porque tiene mucha pendiente para acceder.

The room was clean and fine for the price paid.

Breakfast was mentioned on the listing at booking stating on request - and that i could mention it on arrival which i did to then be told it wasn't an option. We like to book our accommodation based on breakfast options sometimes and was disappointed by this. Photos are slightly misleading of the hotel and when it mentions 'parking', the hill to drive up to park is a little sketchy with it being so steep, so would suggest parking at the bottom probably and walking up - depending on how much luggage you have. When we also checked in there was no mention of payment and after 2 days upon check out we were told cash only, which was annoying that we had to walk down the huge hill and back up again in a rush, just to retrieve some cash - this was topped off by the staff member asking us to buy him some cigarettes when we went to the cash machine in town!!
