We were billed £150 for a room. The fee should be £50 and be advertised as a rooming house or fancy hostel.

I enjoyed leaving. The house was on a poor state of repair and made my skin crawl

The house looked like it was in a state of renovation. The doors were unpainted. The trim was scrap lumber. The trim was unpainted except where the paint slopped from the wall to the trim. The living room was a storage area. In order to get to the SHARED bathroom I needed to go down stairs, thru a hallway, thru the living room storage area, thru the kitchen and finally to a back hall where the bathroom existed. The place is miss-advertised. The place is a 16 ft wide townhouse with 4 rooms for rent, a living room, hall, kitchen and bathroom shower room. Do the math but not my idea of cozy. There is no sea view. The view is the townhouses on the other side of the road. I would not call it a lodge. It is more like a boarding house or hostel. My biggest grievance is that it is enormously overpriced. I was billed £150 when I stayed at many hotels in Wales with proper amenities for £90-£140 which included breakfast. My wife and I have traveled the world for the past 30 years and this is the worst example of being mislead with the condition and amenities of the accomidations.

A lovely stay – clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed!

I had a truly lovely stay at The Seaview Lodge. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well looked after. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. One of the highlights was the stunning sea views—not only from my bedroom but also from the front and back gardens, which were perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or evening stroll. On arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary drinks and snacks in the room—a thoughtful gesture that made me feel right at home. The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and always willing to help. They kindly provided useful recommendations about local attractions, dining options, and things to do in the area. The location is ideal—peaceful yet within walking distance to the marina, where there are lovely cafes, restaurants, and scenic walking paths. I was also able to find on-street parking without any hassle, which was a bonus. Overall, it was a peaceful, comfortable, and memorable stay. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend The Seaview Lodge to anyone visiting the area and would definitely love to return in the future. The owner was very thoughtful—she left bread, fresh milk, butter, and jam in the fridge. It was lovely to have toast and tea in the morning. Thank you ☺️
