The location, the rooms, the staff- everything was amazing

There was nothing we didn't like

The staff were warm, friendly and hospitable; they were helpful in supporting us in planning excursions and drivers. The restaurant was excellent with a good selection of food. The rooms were very spacious, quiet and peaceful.

One thing to be aware of is that the property has a lot of stairs no lift. It would not be particularly suitable for anyone with mobility issues, very young children or elderly guests who may find stairs difficult. The hotel is a little outside Ubud town, so it takes around 45 minutes with the traffic to get into Ubud.

The good and the great: - Staff: Biggest plus for us. All staff were excellent in their service and most importantly went the extra mile to assist with our every request. - Scenery: All rooms are directly opposite of the jungle so if the scenery you are looking for is this then go for it! - Pool: Private pool is big and deep, not a puddle as other hotels have. Note that there is not pubic pool available. - Location: Hotel is located very close to Ubud, you still need to find transportation to there but it’s 20-40 minutes away, depending on the time of day.

The mediocre (we don’t really have bad things to say): - The jungle: We completely understand that we were staying right next to the jungle but the room has small openings between the wooden walls that were used as entrance doors for flies, mosquitoes, wasps and geckos. We would not mention that had it been our fault (ie leaving the door open) but we tried to be as careful and agile as possible but it’s futile as the windows and walls have openings. At least we killed ~15 mosquitoes per night so 100 less for the next people to fight. Also got our bed pooped by a gecko. It happens, staff immediately changed our sheets. - Food: I have to say that the breakfast was lacklustre. It’s an a la carte breakfast, there are ~10 options to pick from, but it’s not much that tasty or large. We also had dinner at the hotel, found it to be way too expensive for what was served. Unfortunately, there are not many options within walking distance so be prepared. - Two last minor notes: 1) I would suggest that you enrich your playlist because if I listen to “Morning Happiness” again in my life I will freak out. 2) There are 61 steps between the hotel entrance and the rooms and no elevator. Be prepared. (Also, please install a lift for the staff, so that they don’t have to carry luggages up and down 61 steps, it’s extremely inhumane).

All day breakfast is really helpful if you have planned activities. We loved our massages and sound healing meditation. We also went on the sunrise jeep tour and were blessed with perfect weather. Staff are friendly and professional. We had a fabulous time!!! Thank you
