Relax in a Charming Flat in Le Marais

The location was excellent. Comfortable bed and great shower with great water pressure but occasionally drain would back up.

Shower occasionally backed up. Found dirty sock in drawer with bowls. Dishwasher only opened 2/3 of the way so couldn't open completely to load or unload dishes. Iron was unusable since it had something melted on the bottom. Occasionally slight odor in bathroom with toilet. Tight moving from kitchen to bathroom to bedroom. Sink in bathroom had no drain cap. Curtain in bedroom was off in one corner. Heavy panel on a utility cabinet fell off and hit one of us when randomly walking by.

The location was very nice. The apartment was beautiful in an old building but from inside very modern and comfortable.

Very great location and area. This place is situated near a gelato store and a boulangerie, so it was nice being able to be close to a boulangerie in the morning for breakfast and grabbing a gelato in the evening. The neighborhood can get a little crowded in the evenings but once inside the room you can hardly hear the people downstairs. Overall, great location, clean room, and it was an excellent stay.

The room was not ready at 3pm as promised, which was incredibly inconvenient after having slept very little on the preceding overnight flight. The bathroom had a strange chemical smell that never went away. The shower drained incredibly slowly. Four of the six nights there was a homeless person sleeping in the vestibule/entry of the building. Leaving in the morning, we had to step over him. He was able to get into the vestibule because the door to the building had a lock whose latch didn't really catch. When I complained to the host, he claimed that there was nothing wrong with the lock, and that tenants just need to be sure to pull the door shut all the way. But that is not correct. It is disappointing that the host showed no interest in fixing this problem.
