LakePointe Shores #9 Tranquil 3 bedroom cottage, enchanting Madison on the Lake

It was clean and loved the three bedrooms. Would love to come back again ! Golf and the beach top priority had both! Thank you!

I'll start by saying first impressions are everything. Upon arriving, the location appeared to be in a nice neighborhood, had a nice view of the lake as well. We were all excited for our long weekend getaway. But that was short lived. As soon as we opened the door, we were hit by a heavy musty smell as if the house had been closed up for months. However, it appeared to be clean so we overlooked the smell. We checked out the bedrooms, which all appeared to be clean as well. But the shower in the "master bedroom" had so many dead bugs on the floor and cobwebs in the corners. While i understand the place may not have been rented out lately, i would expect management to at least go in and make sure the place was "cleaned up" knowing it has been ren. There were used, dirty trays in the oven (with food crumbs still on them), numerous spiders and cobwebs inside the house and dirty stained towels in the bathrooms. Maintenance must not check on the house because the latch on the storm door was broken and held together with tape. The main bathroom door would not close due to the floor being unlevel and at one point the door came off the hinges almost falling on one of the guests. There was a plate taped to the ceiling in the one bedroom ... still not sure why. I tell you these things not to be a "karen" but to try and help with future rentals. Despite these issues, we enjoyed our time. However, i do not think we would rent from this particular management company again.
