Arrived to a filthy uncleaned house

The house itself is very nice Nicely furnished Good condition throughout Ample parking space Good location

The house was nice, I’m sorry to say our experience was not . Our party of 4, after a long journey, arrived to a filthy, disgusting house that had not been cleaned since the last guests had been in there. I had confirmed with the host twice on 2 separate occasions in the lead up to the stay that we could check in at 1pm . ( instead of the 3pm check in). We arrived at 1.30pm . The house was in a disgusting state .There was excrement in the toilet . There were dirty wet towels and sheets on the floor. There were pubic hairs in the bathroom and on the bedding . The kitchen was dirty with crumbs and spillage on the side and dirty dishcloths . All the bins were full of someone else’s rubbish. At 2pm the cleaner knocked on the door and said ‘I’ve come to clean the house you weren’t due till 3pm’ . The 4 of us ( after a long journey) had to sit while the cleaner did a ( very light ) clean around us . This experience was disgusting and absolutely unacceptable not to mention an infection control issue . I spoke to the hosts on the day and the only compensation they offered was a 1 hour later check out the next day ( which we didn’t need or want) . We paid nearly £500 to stay in this house for 1 night . Prior to writing this negative review I have given them 11 days to make this good but they have not done so . Just to add the garden was a mess with litter in the overgrown grass No black out blinds so hard to stay asleep No fan and it was a warm weekend

Perfect for our needs. A comfortable and clean property.

It was very clean and very good for us for location. The beds were comfortable. Easy instructions for getting in a bc communication.

The handbook was a great idea but could have had more info like nearest places to eat, which recycling bins to use etc.
