Akroyd House - The Dean Clough Room

Large spacious clean room, great facilities although we didn't use the separate kitchen/sitting area. Excellent location for gig at The Piece Hall. Would recommend and would stay here again. Air con in the room was a very welcome addition too. Parked at nearby 24hr car park, just a few mins walk away.

Very well decorated and furnished house, room and kitchen/sitting area. Comfortable, spacious and well looked after. We loved having a kettle in the room, and the biscuits and chocolates left for us were a nice touch. Entering codes to let ourselves in the house and then in our room was a very cool experience.

1. I tried to book with a debit card but couldn't and had to use the PayPal account of my partner 2. We would recommend placing an additional table next to the armchair under the TV 3. On our last morning someone slammed doors downstairs multiple times 4. We would have preferred there to be a manned reception at least during the day as we would have liked to leave our cases upon check out and collect them later in the afternoon for departure.

Very little to dislike. I was using it for a respite break from 24/7 caring

nothing that could be changed by the owners. Some traffic noise (goes with the location) and rather loud music from a fairground across the main road. But luckily quietened down by 11pm. Problem solved with good earplugs

A beautiful, comfortable, clean room and building with great access to Halifax & surrounding areas.

The place was comfortable, clean and presented to a very high standard, we had no issues.
