Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent with a short but pretty walk into the city centre. Very dog friendly pub and with a lovely little park nearby it worked really well.
The weather was a bit humid but not the hotels fault and their dyson fan really helped us keep cool.

The setting was beautiful, and it retains many of its original elements
We arrived at 16:40, and they had no key for our allocated bedroom. They stated that they couldn’t find a different room. We were eventually let into our room with a master key. We went into the city for dinner and returned at 21:30 for our key.
