The Old Mill Hotel

Quaint nice character pub/hotel. Old fashioned, low beamed ceiling rooms and bar, bedrooms were well presented in an old building and nice outlook over the river to sit out on a nice evening. Big beer garden. Restaurant looks nice, very nice but wasn't open midweek when i went/stayed, so i ate in the bar. Easy enough to park also. Id stay again, its not a fancy big chain hotel but for infrequent stays, its Ok.

I ordered food to the bar, Ban Bang Cauliflower was great, really nice. However, the Mezze was very poor, very dry, didn't come with the dips as was advertised, i had to ask, too much cheese and too little other stuff. I didn't finish it. I'd suggest i just picked one of the few poor dishes that needs changing or dropping. Stairwells are a bit old, carpets etc but fine and can be noisy corridors as oldy world but i guess that could give it character.

The room was spotless, staff were very friendly the view from our room was beautiful, couldn’t have picked a better place to stay I’ll be going back

Staff, location, building

The location was perfect. Walkable distance into Salisbury. Staff very helpful and Abbey, the manager, very amenable. Breakfast was fine with excellent coffee.

Room was so hot with no air conditioning. Bathroom window did not open for extra ventilation. Not possible to hands free shower
