The location is absolutely superb. Close to the Cathedral reached by a short trip over an ancient bridge then a short path to get to it. Outside space by the River is a delight. Old part of the Inn is very atmospheric. Water pressure in the shower was a delight, too often I have to run around to get wet, not here. Towels were very fluffy, another deficiency in some Hotels.

Sadly a longer list than I wish to make. No aircon in the room is now becoming a major negative with the effects of climate change. The bathroom was not properly clean. Mould on the back of the bathroom door, spots on the ceiling, grouting suffering too. Cold tap in the shower over the bath leaking, why are baths still used in tiny bathrooms? Even the top of the soap dispenser by the sink hadn't been cleaned. The Hotel is clearly rather tired and in need of some major investment to bring it up to the standard the location deserves. The staff are being let down by management, they can oversee cleaning, but in turn they appear to be being let down by the parent company. If this is in the planning it could make a big difference to what is a venue worthy of it.
