Location. All staff really helpful
Pillows. Wafer thin. Spoilt a good nights sleep. I did ask for more at 2pm but they never materialised

Size of rooms and bathrooms. The rooms opening out onto a lovely lawn area by the river which was unexpected
The actual bar area was in darkness which was a shame as it looked far more inviting than the dining area which they were using as a bar which felt unwelcoming and miserable

Location: The hotel is on the river, and access to the garden overlooking it, with spire in the background. This was the selling point for me. Its a short walk into town via the cathedral, and on to the Haunch of Venison - a fabulous old pub.
The local traffic. The hotel gave all guests a primmer as to when the worst of the traffic was so it could be avoided.
