Great location. Lovely old building jn centre of town.
Insufficient parking (event in the restaurant on Friday evening). Very loud music from pub across the road till midnight

Great staff and location
Central location and comfortable. Home from home. But best of all were the front of house staff, Sharon and Jack. They were welcoming, professional and went above and beyond in their hospitality. Mercure should be proud of them.

Great staff & location, but hotel tired and a bit noisy
Location was fantastic with parking at the rear. Staff were friendly and they checked us in very quickly. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms clean and up to date. Large TV.
We experienced guests talking and laughing loudly until close to midnight. I had earplugs and could still hear them at points. Might have just been bad luck with the room, but I felt that the walls seemed a bit thin! It took us a while to get to sleep. Double glazing in our room failed with window very cloudy, radiator made a loud wining noise in the morning so had no choice but to get up early! Based on the above it didn't meet expectations of a four star hotel at all, particularly ones weve stayed in before... Sorry to the great staff.
