The Oak Room - Windmill Country Retreats

Superb one bedroom apartment in an idyllic location. Host very welcoming and helpful. There is a cafe on site if needed as well as other interesting shops. Quiet and peaceful location with an outside seating area for private use.

The accommodation is beautifully decorated. The setting within the windmill grounds was unique .

There are only small improvements that i would suggest. The bathroom door had a terrible squeak which caused issues during my the night if anyone used the bathroom. Also the towel hanger in the bathroom does not work with the towels and they repeatedly fall on the floor . This could be fixed by sewing loops onto the towels or replacing the hooks . Please accept this feedback in the spirit it is intended as we truly loved our stay.

Great location, I can imagine its superb in good weather which was not the case for my stay. The staff in the tea room were great and very supportive.

Nose from the pottery unit below of an evening. The bed mattress really needs changing for a firmer design that would have been more comfortable. The property description says stove top, I thought I could at least do some limited cooking, but only found a microwave. Suggest investing in an air fryer.

Spacious private apartment. Light, airy modern.

Unfortunately the mattress was uncomfortable. I feel if the mattress was updated to a good medium memory foam one, clients will have a much better nights sleep.
