Wir waren zu zweit im Lola Guesthouse in Valbona und haben unseren Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen. Schon bei der Ankunft fühlt man sich sofort willkommen – die herzliche Gastfreundschaft der Familie macht den Unterschied.
Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der wunderschöne Garten, den die Mutter mit viel Liebe bewirtschaftet. Viele der frischen Zutaten, die später auf den Tisch kommen, stammen direkt von dort. Am Abend bereitet Tochter Lola ein köstliches Abendessen zu, das nicht nur reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich ist, sondern auch den authentischen Geschmack der Region widerspiegelt. Jeder Teller schmeckt nach frischen, natürlichen Zutaten und viel Hingabe.
Die Zimmer sind sauber, gemütlich und schlicht, genau richtig für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt in den Bergen. Von der Unterkunft hat man zudem einen traumhaften Blick auf die umliegende Natur – perfekt, um nach einer Wanderung zur Ruhe zu kommen.
Wir können das Lola Guesthouse uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wer in Valbona nicht nur übernachten, sondern echte albanische Gastfreundschaft, hausgemachtes Essen und eine familiäre Atmosphäre erleben möchte, ist hier absolut richtig.

Lola is een fantastische gastvrouw, zij en haar moeder zijn enorm gastvrij, het eten was heerlijk en de kamers zijn basic maar schoon met een lekker dekbed. Lola en haar moeder hebben zelfs een taart gebakken voor onze jarige.

This guesthouse was a bliss. If there would be a contest for the most friendly and kind person in the world, then Lola would definitely stand a chance of winning. The room and bathroom are basic but comfortable. But what sets this guesthouse apart from the other places we stayed at is incredible hospitality and delicious meals prepared from the products (vegetables, honey, diary, poultry) that they produce themselves. We would definitely stay there again.
The nights in the mountains can be cold but you'll get a warm duvet!

Lola & her family were so kind & welcoming!
We had a private room with very comfy beds & lots of blankets to keep us warm at night. The wifi also worked great!
Lola is incredibly talented and made us the most amazing dinner & breakfast. Everything was made from scratch, including the butter, and used with local ingredients & their garden.
We had such an amazing experience at Guesthouse Lola and would most certainly stay here again.
