Guesthouse Lola is on the end of Valbone closer to the hike, about 2mi from the Valbone-Theth trailhead. We were offered a taxi to the trailhead to start our hike but the walk was pleasant and easy. The guesthouse has a more authentic local feel than a number of the hotels we saw on the way, and they grow/raise much of their food. The facilities are simple comfortable, and that was what we were looking for in an overnight before our hike. The big draw here is Lola herself, and her mom. Lola speaks terrific English and we greatly enjoyed talking to her all about the local history, customs etc. Her mom did the cooking and for dinner and the following morning breakfast we got a huge spread of freshly cooked food to prep us for our hike. Highly recommend.

Fabulous dinner, the 3 course meal we had at Lola’s Guesthouse was the best of all the peaks of the balkans guesthouses we stayed at!
The family that owns the guesthouse are so friendly and accomodating. Very helpful in arranging a transfer to Cerem for us!

Lola and her mum are the best hosts ever! They really went out of their way to make our stay just perfect. The house is gorgeous and the food is spectacular, most coming from their vegetable garden.
Nothing - that we only stayed here 1 day!!!
