Bujtina Arlindi

I can't say enough good things about our stay here! Staying at Bujtina Arlindi was one of the best parts of our entire trip in Albania. The host, Hyrie, is the kindest person and an incredible chef. Her byrek and bread were the best we had in a whole month in Albania. She prepared abundant, delicious, traditional dinners for a low cost both nights. She even prepared byrek for us to take with us on our hike for a small cost. The breakfast was delicious and filling, great way to start a day of adventuring in nature. The room and bathroom were comfortable with a nice balcony outside with a beautiful view of the mountains. Aside from how beautiful Valbona is, I'd go back just to stay at Bujtina Arlindi again. We felt truly welcomed and at home. If you're visiting Valbona, staying here is the best choice you'll make.

We booked at the last minute because our previous accommodation was a disaster. The owner was wonderful; she made us feel very, very comfortable. We only stayed one night so we could hike the Valbona Pass the next day. We had just enough to get a good night’s sleep. The rooms are basic, but the staff’s service was the best

Not having heat in the winter can be uncomfortable

This was the most amazing stay we had of our trip! The host was so lovely and made fantastic dinners for only 10 euros and was more than we could even eat after a full day of hiking! Everything about this stay was perfect - the views, hospitality, food, and the farm vibe!

The view from the porch was kind of nice

The bathroom was ridiculous. There was no way to cover the open window, so my wife had to wait till dark and take a shower with the light off to feel safe. The room was hot. We asked for a fan but they didn't have one. We wanted to wake up early, but going to sleep early was difficult since the walls are thin and hosts talked loudly till 10pm. Breakfast was okay. One egg, a small hot dog, a tiny piece of cheese, two slices of cucumber, one slice of tomato, some bread and a weak cup of mint tea. No coffee, no fruit, no choices, but they did make it at 6am, so we could get on the trail early. We had dinner one night and were disappointed. Not only was it insipid, but it was also a rip off - €10 per person and we got a bowl of luke warm vegetable soup, a dry, roasted chicken leg, half of a small salad, cold fli, some bread and A glass of water. No fruit, no dessert, nothing had flavor They are about 3km from the trailhead, but it's a pretty walk.
