Location of the property was great the beautiful old buildings around the property the history of the farm and the welcome from the friendly hosts that I received it made me feel right at home . The weather was brilliant so was able to explored the surrounding areas to .

I didn't like only staying there four days i wish I had booked longer.

There was lots of space, a well-equipped kitchen and the attic bedroom was cute. John and Eleanor were helpful, and provided excellent directions on how to reach the cottage

The farm location was nice, but it’s a bit too remote: about 3 miles on single-track roads. There was no freezer compartment in the fridge, so we had to get John and Eleanor to freeze our freezer blocks to keep our food cool when we left. There was also no tea or coffee. The cottage is old and it was quite cold inside even though it was June. The central heating wasn’t on, but we used the separate heater.

It was quiet and clean, hosts nice and accommodating

1st the location - it was on a farm hidden away from everything and the narrow country roads getting there were bumpy, often not visibly, scary in the dark with not enough passing places. Luckily, very few vehicles use it but if you meet another car you have to reverse downhill or uphill on a winding road among high hedge rows; always drive very cautiously and extremely slowly to be safe. Property is completely dark after sundown, not one motion-sensor light anywhere outside, it was spooky but ideal for those hoping to see Aurora. 2nd, there is one bedroom in the attic, it's a loft, and the other bed is in a nook in the same space with some privacy curtains, which were not fully functional. On our arrival, even though we got there at 5.00 p.m. instead of 4.00 p.m. the other bed was not made, there was unclean bedding on it. They apologised and changed it. Still, I would expect both beds to be neat and tidy even if the assumption is that customers are a couple, which we were not, as should have been obvious from previous messaging. 3, Cottage was old, looked a bit shabby from the outside, and it was chilly (18.5 degrees in a heatwave) so we needed to use a radiator while being downstairs and put on extra layers. 4th, The shower room was tiny, there was no soap but luckily we took our own hand wash. For reasons of perfume allergy could not use the shower gel provided, it had a very strong scent - should have taken my own, I had to skip showering. 5th, There was one sponge provided for washing up, which had been used before. The sofa was very low and uncomfortable to sit on, only wooden chairs, not one armchair. It was OK for a one-night stay, would not stay there longer.
