Luxury Two Bedroom Cottage - Bishops Stortford

The location to my friend's house was great - lovely house with all the charm of a old terraced cottage. Pint of milk left in the fridge, along with a few coffee pods for the machine. Bedding and towels smelled lovely and everywhere was very clean. Great communication with the host about being let in a little earlier as we had a garden party to attend locally.

Unfortunately the property is listed as having parking, but when I spoke to the host about another issue, no parking directly outside the house, parking only round the corner, but difficult to find a place on a Saturday when everyone else is parking there for town. The steps in and out of the bedroom and then again onto the landing and into the bathroom, I felt were dangerous in the middle of the night, so had to leave the lights on to remind ourselves of the step. The walls are very thin so heard the lady coughing next door, baby crying during the night and in the morning. Due to the weather a fan might be nice in the bedrooms, particularly as the window only open a few inches at the top. .

Beautiful little cottage! Really quiet area, parking was a bit tight so left my car at relations house so that didn’t bother me. The home itself was lovely very well maintained I’d definitely stay there again.

This was obviously not the owners fault but when we left Wembley and made our way to the cottage it had already been the hottest day of the year so far so the house was absolutely boiling hot!!

Bed was comfy and fresh. Bathroom nice. Kitchen nice and useful with most things to hand.

Lights in dining room and landing not working. Asked host for help but ignored. Needed a place to work and have dinner after travel but lack of lighting made that annoying and no reply from host was a poor show.
