Excellent breakfast, good choice, tasty, fantastic service nothing too much trouble.
Decoration in the room needs a touch of tlc, but overall great room.

We loved this quirky old hotel with its old-fashioned feel, now being run as a community facility. Evening and breakfast food was excellent. We stayed overnight whilst walking the Cleveland Way. The hotel is a few minutes off the Way, so very convenient.

The breakfast was excellent, very limited menu for evening meals Monday but what was available was acceptable.
Limited menu Monday and Tuesday and no evening meals Sunday.

The full English breakfast was very good but only a choice of cereal and fruit juice before. No yoghurt or compote. The room was excellent with a television and tea/coffee facilities. Friendly proprietor and other staff. Evening meals were good value.
We didn't know in advance that the venue stopped serving evening meals at 3pm on Sundays (7pm on other nights) but a very good takeaway nearby was suggested.
