Host lacks empathy and good customer care. I booked 4 nights on one of their properties before, but then my grandad passed away the week I was to stay there. Sent a request via booking,com and also DM to cancel and get a refund as I now couldn't travel, the host said they'd look into it and see what they could do. The days of my stay came and went without further communication. When I followed up, they flatly said there was nothing to do. I had booked and stayed in 2024 and at that time gave it 8/10. Recently, I booked this place on 15-16th September for one night. But then my plans changed and needed to change dates. I requested via booking.com, and one cannot make a request to change dates unless there is availability. I also DM'd the host with my request. The host didn't respond until on the morning of the day I was to check in to deny my request and say there was no availability. I live in South Yorkshire, a 3.5hr drive to Bristol, and by then, I had already had to re-change my plans, albeit not ideal, and travelled to Bristol as couldn't risk waiting for a response (or non-response), which came back negative. I stayed the night but must say, the place has somewhat deteriorated since my earlier stay. The front door handle is somewhat loose,and it's difficult to close the door. There's also a cable and carpet going across the door to the downstairs toilet which is a trip hazard. The carpet sits against the door and makes it hard to open from the inside to come out of the toilet, the door opens outward and could get jammed in. The room was extremely cold as the temperatures had dropped in Bristol that day, inquiries to the property about the heating yielded nothing, only that the heating was on a timer, it never turned on the whole time/night I was there.

Good for car owners, comfortable, but but may cost you nerves if the owner ignores your messages.

A spacious nice room with a door opening outside for ventilation (otherways there is no ventilation through the windows), good kitchen for self-catering, a large double bed. There are only 4 guest rooms in a house, so it is easy to use a shared bathroom. There is a Morrisson shop nearby to buy food. The bus stop in nearby, but the buses are not frequent and sometimes you need to wait as long as an hour. There are no busses on Sundays, and you need to find alternative bus stops. The property is good for people with a car, otherways it takes a lot of time to get to the tourists' destinations - about 1 hour or longer to each.

The worst thing was the communication with the owner. She didn't answer my email and 4 sms, no calls have neen answered until 12.20 p.m. on the day we arrived. I was so nervous without knowing if we can get in and when shall we stay if this booking is false, this actually ruined my first day in Bristol. There was no soap in a toilet, no shampoo - they are the little things, but it was promised to be there and I haven't brought my own. The ventilation in the room is tricky. I used my clothes to fix a door slightly open for a night to prevent fox's or people's intrusion. Luckly, the nights were warm. When booking this property, I miscaculated the public transport problem. It takes too long to reach the city centre and various places, as a Aerospace without the car.

Good value for money and spacious

I liked the clean room, spacious, first floor and toilet directly outside so easy access. Good lighting, not too hot. Interior was well decorated and homely.

Host would respond to texts in seconds but then wouldn't reply for hours which gave me recurrent anxiety as messages about access codes etc were left on delivered. However on the day all the info was provided.

The bed was not spread and it looks like it was never washed dirty and spot marks on the bed! The windows has no curtains and sleeping was so uncomfortable as it was so bright inside and the bed was so uncomfortable to sleep on.

The heater was NOT working in the room. I was trying to explain to the staff (text), about the heating facilities - and they just replied, stop complaining. And the carpark only has two spaces for the tenants, I had to park my vehicle on the public pathway.🙄🤦‍♂️

Very clean, room was big, offroad parking.

Sink in the bathroom takes awhile to drain, so quickly fills up and one has to wait for it to completely drain and clean otherwise as the water drains, all the dirt is left on the surface.

Falta limpieza, había un par de arañas en las esquinas. Las cortinas eran inútiles porque entraba muchísima luz a partir de las 6 am. El pestillo y la luz del baño de la planta baja no funcionaban.

Poca comunicación el propietario. Las zonas comunes les faltaba limpieza, se nota que ahi hace dias que no limpia nadie (baños, cocina, microhondas, nevera...). No sé si repitiría
