The owner a good guy, he was kind to us and helpful when needed.
The place smelled a bit bad, would recommend a bit more of cleaning, but for the price one cannot be super poshy on that.
Go there, is a good deal.
Bed was not comfortable, lots of light inside the room, lack of cleaniness.

Cheap, well connected, nice area
Mattress was very old and could feel the springs in my back

Very convenient location
The room was slightly dirty and the windows did not shut, we tried to warm the room up but putting the heater on but it was stuck on a timer setting. The rules were also a bit silly, I understand the no alcohol but no food or drink in the rooms seems a bit too far
6.0 / 10.0
The location was great, the heating was good, the room was spatious.
The restaurant is adjacent to the hostel.
Many restaurants around the hostel, meanwhile the room was quiet enough to sleep well.
P.S: I got a bed in 3-bed dorm, althought my booking was for 16-bed dorm (probably because of the low demand in that period)
There could be lockers installed in each room to leave more valuable belongings there (storage service was for an extra payment).
There were not reading lamps and shelves; electric sockets were a little far from the bed.
No hygiene amenities included in the price (dental kit, sleeping ear plugs, or shower gel).

Great for train and bus. This is a budget hostel in the centre of Bristol. Basic but comfortable.
More pictures to break up white walls. Only one pillow.

There wasnt any electric socket near my bed

Given that THEFT BY STAFF (see below) is taking place at this location, it makes no sense to add anything here. And the only positive thing would be the hostel location, but all the hostels are located in this area. So there is nothing good to say about this accommodation
THEFT BY STAFF AT THIS HOSTEL. DO NOT BOOK!! They will ask for a deposit *in cash* when you check in (avoiding credit card so you cant contest them - they charge a fee if you want to leave it via credit card). They use any excuse they can find to steal your deposit. I checked out at 10:20 a.m. and they said it was a late check out and refused to return the deposit. The ability to discuss the matter with them is limited as the receptionists at the hostel speak very little English. if you book this hostel anyways, I suggest you do not give them the key back until they agree to return your complete deposit. It is your only leverage. BUT EVEN BETTER: DO NOT BOOK!

Great location. Beautiful building. As expected
Staff were unfriendly bordering on rude. The beds were very poor quality. The bathrooms were very unclean and in poor condition; toilet stall doors didnt close properly and there were very unpleasent smells.

The location was ideal for my purposes
It was extremely basic and the bed was very uncomfortable. There were so many rules and extra charges (ÂŁ3 to borrow a hairdryer!!) that made it a bit of a miserable stay
6.0 / 10.0
The location made it worth it. Right on airport bus lines, and general public transport readily available. Street food markets, cafes, shops, etc. within walkable distance. Good for just one night.
You had to ring the bell outside the door to get into the building, but every time I had to wait 5-10 minutes until someone answered since the desk isn't always manned. Everything has an extra charge (5 pounds for luggage storage/per bag, 2 pound nonrefundable charge when you pay with card). The rooms were a bit unclean and had a bit of a smell. Also, each bed didn't have its own designated plug or light. No lockers either.

Basic is a little of an understatement. It was clean, white, basic. The showers ans toilet facilities looked as though they were refurbished recently. Yes there was a little overnight noise, i guess to be expected in a hostel. Overall it was fine and did the job.
very basic

Location was good.
It was filthy, rotting fruit left in bins, construction work going on down the maze of confusing corridors, seriously spring loaded uncomfortable beds, blood stained marks on doorways to bathroom.

Great location and a good budget option 👍
A bit soulless & and clinical, but it's just a place to sleep after all. Nothing more and nothing less.

Location was perfect.
It was like a prison cell without the loo - not even a bin in the room.
Didn’t know they would want ID and a £20 deposit on arrival as this was not disclosed and only seen on a notice at reception on arrival, luckily we both had something saved on the phone. No food, drinks or any outside stuff allowed in yet there is no provision for food other than the curry house that belongs to the hostel.
Check in took 20 mins and it wasn’t the cleanest of places. Very very overpriced for a hostel!

The location was good, the bedding was clean and crisp and pub across the road,
, my single room was very basic but it was okay
Room needed a lamp, and it's a bit strange that you can't take water in, took ages to get in as no one answering the door so went into the restaurant, no kitchen either

Nothing.
Extra £22 hidden fee they don’t tell you about. Really loud all night long. Dirty shower room and toilets. Damage to passport after receptionist tried to scratching the face off my passport, leaving damage to the photo.

Difficult to find, the postcode takes you to a different hostel across the road. Difficult to get in and out as no staff on reception so have to go into restaurant to gain access. Staff rude. The room itself was stinking. The smell almost made me sick. The bed sheets and pillow were stinking. Had to use my towel over the pillow it was that bad. All round never staying here again

Location
Room was totally empty just bed and little table.
Cannot find showers or toilet at all and it kind of smells badly in and around hotel

Very convenient for central Bristol. Easy to find. Fairly quiet. Nice view.
Sinks unclean as shared with other residents.
9.0 / 10.0
It was clean, comfortable and easy access to restaurant
Room mate was loudly talking and watching video.
And there was no locker for each bed so while going out we were suggested to keep it under bed. In our own risk that was little worry throughout our outing while keeping our belongings without safe locker even if I requested during booking.

Location was excellent
Staff were a little cold, lack of toilet and shower facilities.Could have been cleaner.Shower out of order that was never fixed..There were no side lights in the room.
I thought it was quite expensive for a 4 man room

Cheap accommodation, right by the harbour side. 24 hr desk, or assistance for access if issues
Tiny room, daft window about 300mm square, uncomfortable bed. Staff are not the friendliest I've met.

It was pretty close to cool things like the aquarium, and the water festival. It had multiple toilets and showers, with nice linens. Rooms were nice and cleaned daily!
You can’t enter the place without a staff member, and if there’s no staff member, you need to go next door to the restaurant. The corridor smelt heavily of tobacco, and the showers had a tendency of flooding if the water pressure was too high.

The staffs are very friendly and polite answering any questions I had with a smile, positive attitude and welcoming feeling. I have stated here multiple times for multiples nights on end and never had any issues with them. They even allowed me to store my food in their fridges for no extra cost. I can't recommend this place enough.

It had beds
Weren’t allowed to do anything without being charged. Staff were there to check you in, if you needed them for anything they were nowhere to be seen, but they were watching the cameras. If you needed a member of staff don’t go to reception and try get there attention, just start drinking a bottle of water in the hall and they come up and tell your loosing your deposit. My drink cost me £60

We was attending a gig only 5 minutes away from the Hostel so the location for us was amazing, it was also on the door step of some of Bristols best bars so again great location. The room as expected was very bare and plain but it was a bed for the night, seemed very clean and the bed was comfy enough. We had a private 2 bed room which locked so it was perfect for us.
ÂŁ2 for a teeny tiny 1 use bottle of shower gel seemed very extreme, ÂŁ2 to rent a towel but that's where they make their money and keep the rooms priced low I suppose. The room was a little warm but again it's hot outside and unavoidable for a budget room.

The staff were not interested in an form of a positive customer experience. I was a transaction to them. Was all about trying to make money out of me and others who stay there. Barely a smile or any form of emotion. I realised they owned and ran the restaurant next door, maybe they are better at running a restaurant than a hostel. Oddly, they asked for a ÂŁ20 damage fee, but of course it has to be cash. If you don't have cash - its 2025, cash is not that common anymore - so they charge you a ÂŁ2 fee = ÂŁ22. The principle of this is they are just trying to extort easy money out of you by making up this fee - this fee was not made clear until I was at the front desk. (BTW its ÂŁ5 to leave your bag in their storage - having stayed in many hotels and hostels all over the world, 99% kindly do this for free). To finish, they didn't even check my room to see if I'd damaged anything, they just refunded the ÂŁ20, even though the bathroom tap was damaged. Avoid, there's something better around the corner.

Hotel far from station. Need to pay refundable deposit. extra non-refundable charge if pay using card which means walking to an ATM. no shampoo provided in the bathroom, room was dirty and extremely noisy, as if I was sleeping outside. No sockets at bed. Room was smelly, combined with people with stinky feet and inconsiderate stranger guests who played videos out load.

Price and location were great, felt clean for a hostel.
Not being allowed food or drink is simply daft.
