Ohliving Maestranza House

The space is phenomenal. A huge place which is very comfortable and cool. There’s great options for dining and relaxing with plenty of furnishings for relaxing. The bathrooms could do with a little more TLC as the paint does chip when people walk up stairs and onto the floor - and some areas are a little rustic but for me it isn’t an issue in the slightest. Everything you could need for the kitchen is there (we donated some garlic salt & other bits too) and the quality of the amenities are great. The location is fabulous- we didn’t find it loud at all and due to the heat we spent a lot off the day inside. This would suit a family or a girlfriend group- but there’s not a huge amount of privacy on the top floor as the bedroom is open to the room and the bathroom door upstairs is glass/see through so perhaps not advised for anyone overly modest .

A fuse blew and so it was dark for a portion of our stay. Could have been resolved via video chat instead of waiting for next day.

Excellent location around the center and very spacious apartment with coffee machine and big smart TV. Comfy bed and couch, loved that there is A/C in the terrible hot weather of Seville. Fridge and everything works well.

Asked for early check in. They said a day before that it’s possible for 20€. We were fine with it, but upon arrival we saw that the apartment had many dirty areas, both bathroom had it’s toilet full of with long black hair and body oil stains on the seats. The carpet and the chairs had bread crumbles on them. On the bed and next to the bed even more hair. We saw a cockroach that we immediately killed. Later that night killed an other. The kitchen counter is full of hungry ants, so I suggest not leaving food out, put everything in the fridge. The bathroom downstairs is impossible to use because it smellt like mold and sewage very strong. After complaining about the dirty areas, they organised a cleaner that cleaned again. They were saying she is new, but it’s your responsibility to double check the apartment if it’s clean before giving it to guests. Handle the bug situation, call an exterminator and put out traps for the roaches etc. Don’t tell people “it’s normal in Seville” because Spain is not the Balkans or Mexico.. supposed to be an evolved european country! The whole scene was just super disgusting. Anyway, our apartment was not clean and useable until 19-20:00 in the evening and we felt very weird about them taking the 20€ for the early check in. After finding all the hair around the apartment, and not being able to use the toilets until they were clean, the minimum is that you don’t take extra money… Also, there is only a code that opens the front doors and it’s not possible to lock it inside so I didn’t feel super safe at night. All together I only can suggest this place if you are okay with bugs around and a possibly not very clean space.
