Everything! The staff were lovely, the hotel was clean, had a brilliant shower, spacious room with a lovely view out over the pretty village. Breakfast ( continental) was perfect for us as we’re not big breakfast eaters and the evening meals were really nice too.
It was during the extreme heatwave, so it was way too hot in our 2nd floor room, but I’d taken my own portable electric fan, otherwise it would have been unbearable. They kept it lovely and cool downstairs in the bar and restaurant. Maybe they could supply fans in the rooms in extreme weather? The heatwave was hardly their fault though!

As it did not explain whilst booking online that it was only a continental breakfast we were very disappointed when we learnt this after arriving at the hotel.
Bigger bedroom. Plus more tea and milk in room.
