The room was very comfortable and very well stocked and as there was no breakfast they had provided some fresh fruit as well as biscuits. The walk in shower was wonderful and the bed large and comfortable. We had asked for a ground floor room and this was provided and the good directions to the car park were very welcome. In addition, the location was perfect for us and the security code access meant we could come and go at any time.

Room was fine and tea coffee and snacks were well stocked. Heating was responsive.

Overpriced for the area and with no breakfast available. Another guest had trouble getting in to their room. I tried to help but the code didn’t appear to work. I showed them where I had received the reception sign and whilst we rang twice no one answered and there was no number to ring. I emailed the contact email but got no response. So customer service would be rated as zero.

It’s clean and everything was provided including good coffee and welcome snacks of fruit biscuits and croissants . It was quiet and felt safe when inside room .

I had difficulty on arrival . I was uncertain about the parking as there was a small car park with 4 cars already there and I parked obstructing the gate at the bottom left of the car park and was nervous I might be blocking that gate .in the end I left a note . I was phoning emergency no of care taker to ask how to get into my room but that when onto answer phone . I couldn’t find a key safe and it was dark .Finally I realised the code was on the doors but you can’t see that in the dark . On the third attempt the front door bell responded and flashed me into my room .Reception was firmly closed up at 9.45 pm with no one around and there was no reception this morning at 10 so I gave keys to the cleaner . It was all a bit spooky at 9.45 pm at night . I am not sure where the Townhouse is ?

Our request for an earlier breakfast was accepted without any fuss. The breakfast was very good in a relax environment. We booked three rooms and all were comfortable and well specced. The location was fine for exploring Oswestry and catching up with family and friends.

The bed was a exceptional. Comfortable and beautiful bed linen that smelt divine. Best sleep in ages.

I read the blurb in a rush and booked a pricey room, thinking from the nice website there was a ‘food and hotel’ vibe. My fault. Just be aware as you book that it’s a room only. You let yourself into a room using a code, see noone, and let yourself out. So it’s a bit soulless as a solo experience. I imagine it would feel better as a couple and that wouldn’t matter. The bathroom was also downstairs on a chilly evening and the brasserie along the street was shut and I had to go wandering for dinner. So I didn’t feel as pleased as I would’ve hoped for the price.

Location and facilities were lovely

The bed was hard and lumpy and neither of us had a good night which was very sad as everything else was really good

I loved the way it was set out it was amazing also loved the shower it was very clean loved the fact we could come and go the very homely

No one on site - Did not meet a single member of staff. The bathroom in particular needs some tlc. One of our bath towels was wet - but only in the middle - as though it had been used previously. Very limited car parking. Breakfast basket was poor. One of the rooms had non stop dripping toilet with broken handle.

Almost left late evening due to noise from room above but luckily they got in bed and went to sleep around 10 so we could relax

I really enjoyed my stay – the room was clean, comfortable, and nicely presented. The hotel provided coffee, biscuits, and a continental breakfast, which was a lovely touch. Stones throw from town will definitely book again. Thank you very much

Wasn’t anything we didn’t like

Very comfortable room. Very clean. large and comfortable bed. Great meal at Wynnstay Hotel - walk through the park to get there.

There was no wifi available despite being advertised. We had to ask for the password and could not connect. I tried every way to contact the owner and have this dealt with but still nothing. And the cellular coverage at that location was poor. Really let the experience down. I would not have booked this property if I had known no wifi.

The room was clean and having a fridge was particularly useful. The location is very close to the town centre and the rooms around the courtyard are nice and quiet.

Being a woman travelling alone, parking on site was one of my main requirements. Parking is VERY limited, there being 4 spaces (5 if you include the electric vehicle spot) for 10 rooms. I do not want to have to leave my car in the public car park. Also, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working for the first 2 days and, even when it was “fixed”, it still didn’t work well so would be no use if you needed it for business.

I booked 3 rooms for a family celebration and each of them were fantastic. The interiors had been done beautifully, the bathrooms were so well thought about and surprisingly large......which makes a refreshing change to most accommodation ! The complimentary welcome basket was a very nice additional surprise and provided us with all we needed for a lovely continental breakfast :-) Great to have a fridge in the room too !

A breakfast box was provided, but there were places in town where you could have a cooked breakfast, if you wanted.The room was fantastic. We had a brilliant nights sleep. We would certainly return.

It's such a shame as the rooms are beautiful.

The staff at the reception/phone are very rude. We were party of 8, two separate bookings, and when we arrived they put us in the wrong room. After we left, I got a message from the hotel that they had taken all our belongings to a different room. First, it feels a bit invasive that someone unknown is packing our stuff and moving them to the different room. Second, no apologies or accountability of the mix up. I understand mix up happens and all they needed to tell us "we are sorry for the mix up" and all is good, instead the woman on the phone was very rude when we struggled to get in our new room at midnight. In addition, we were promised to get the rest of the room details at 3pm. But we needed to ask them ourselves at 8pm, because we never received them. Very unprofessional behaviour overall. I can not recommend this place, especially if you are planning to book more than 1 room.

Central location, easy to walk into town. Room was well appointed. Great shower. Parking was easy. 11am check out was nice.

Outside noise carried through the shut windows. Especially the boy racer exhausts on Friday night, and the bin men at 7am on Saturday morning. We booked room 2, for it rustic charm, but I caught my head on the beam in the bathroom and the one above the stairs.

The cleaning lady was so helpful and so accommodating that she went out of her way to help us with her local knowledge. And she made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay

I think the step over the wall in the shower was difficult for me with a bad back, so a walk in shower would of been better and the bed was very clean and comfortable but for my back the mattress was a little on the soft side.

We felt the listing was misleading. This was no more than an average Air B & B at an inflated price. There was no reception facility. Although it mentioned that breakfast was available in the listing, none was. The room was accessed by 2 very steep flights of stairs. The bedroom and the bathroom were separated by one of these. However, the bedroom and the bathroom themselves were fine. Sebastian’s as a whole looked as if it had seen better days when maybe the listing might have been accurate.

Lovely place to stay and very convenient to the middle of the town. We visit Oswestry occasionally and would definitely choose Sebastians again.

Awful bed. A small double with a high springy mattress. I was terrified I was going to fall out. A shame as everything else was top notch.
