Dubrovnik OldTown Hotel Akademis Gariste

This hotel was amazing, it was a perfect base for my short stay in the Old town. I loved how close the location was to everything making it a fairly short and easy walk to get around. I had to check in after hours, since my flight was delayed but they made it pretty easy to access the property with the code. All the staff was super polite and helpful and the breakfast was great! Definitely recommend staying here if you're wanting to be within the city walls of the Old town particularly by the Pile Gate! I'm happy I picked this place over the others and would want to come back in the near future. My stay was wonderful, I loved every minute I was there! Also do try the restaurant right by it, their Cevapi was delicious! :)

First of all, it was a great location! Easy check-in. Boris not only helped me take my luggage up three flights of stairs because that was the only available room and I’m 71 but when we left, he hauled the bags up out of pile gate to the street to catch our bolt. They made an exception for us and made breakfast early. The only criticism I have besides being on the third floor is that there was a vibration in the ceiling like a fan that was a bit irritating, but we slept through it. All in all absolutely wonderful.

Very convenient location Breakfast was great Staff friendly and helpful Would recommend

Great location inside the city walls and just next to the Pile Gate. All the attractions are close by so all in walking distance. We paid for a superior room and were very happy with the facilities. Comfortable bed, nice overhead shower etc. Breakfast is nice and varied with different choices - local, French, English etc. with very friendly staff. Good value restaurant outside. Highly recommended.
