Dirty property we had to arrange another accommodation at our expense.
The host, Gemma, was energetic, responsive, and very helpful. Although the bathroom door was locked and couldn’t be opened, she quickly addressed the issue by arranging a change of property for us. We truly appreciated her support and prompt action. While we appreciated the host’s effort to respond, the standard of the accommodation did not meet even basic expectations.
The property was disappointing in terms of cleanliness. The tea maker was filthy and black inside, the microwave had curry stains, and the oven was smudged with food remains. Coffee mugs were clearly unwashed, and the overall hygiene was poor. Additionally, the basic essentials such as drinking water, tissues, tea bags, milk, spices, or oil were completely missing — which made the stay feel unwelcoming and unprepared. We appreciated the host’s effort to resolve the initial issue, but we hope more attention is given to the cleanliness and basic amenities in future bookings. Due to these conditions, we left the property on the second day without any refund and had to arrange alternative accommodation at our own expense.
