Zentara Hills

The host was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room with a big balcony was even bigger than the photos showed. We had small carpets near the bed, lots of places to put our things, a table and chairs. Hot water in the shower was a bliss. When we wanted tea cups and beer mugs they provided them. We were also able to keep our cold beer in their fridge. They delivered the amount we asked for at certain times. Extremely good service. Sitting outside on the balcony reading, writing or drinking beer looking at the stunning views was just magic. This was my favourite stay during our 3 week long trip in Sri Lanka. The local breakfast was served in the dining room and was the best rice & curry we had during our trip. The mother cooks it and it's the same that the family eats for breakfast. Kavindu, who is running the place, also arranged a Tuc Tuc driver to pick us up from the train station. We ended up using this driver for all our trips during our three nights stay there. He was very good and had reasonable prices. I truelly recommend a stay here.

The only thing that I didn't enjoy was walking up the short but rather steep slope to get to the restaurants for our dinner.

The room was very spacious and had beautiful stained glass windows. Our host was able to provide a takeaway breakfast for us when we ran out of time to eat. Short walk to the train station.
