Kelburne Estate

The setting and view were absolutely stunning. Loved it. The staff and chef were amazing and so welcoming to us and extremely professional. Having a cottage to ourselves was fabulous and allowed us to really enjoy the peacefulness of the surrounds.

The cottage was a little tired and would be quite spectatular if restored back to the beautiful plantation homestead it would have once been. Would be good to provide comfortable outdoor seating outside the cottage and bar facilities so we could have enjoyed a beer, wine or cocktail while soaking up the views.

Our four-night stay at Kelburne Estate was entirely magical. The view from our veranda was absolutely breathtaking and a bird lovers paradise. The candlelit dinners were a 5-star experience and some of the best food in Sri Lanka. The entire team (Ravi, Thiru, and Chef Tharanga) took such incredible care of us from the moment we arrived. This is a hidden gem, and we hope to return soon. It is truly hard to leave this little paradise. Service - excellent and professional Hospitality - excellent and professional Food - 5-star amazing presentation. Both Sri Lanka and Western!! Environment - serene, relaxing, beautiful gardens.
