Mountain Paradise Bliss Guest House

This is a lovely hotel in Haputale owned by Shan. Shan was very friendly, available, and helpful with my requests during my stay. My room was quite modern, with floor to ceiling windows looking out to the incredible views. The shower was hot, there was a hair dryer, and no AC but it’s not really needed, and there was a large fan. Easy access to Haputale center by tuktuk. Shan also has a restaurant below the hotel, and I had delicious breakfasts both mornings I was there. He went out of his way to help me secure a ride to Ohiya one morning, when no drivers would take my request. He even dropped me off in town later that night.

I visited during the off season and was the only guest, so there was significant construction happening on the hotel during the day. The room can also be quite loud at night, as the glass doesn’t block much noise. There was very loud conversation going on outside my room until after midnight one night.

Un super emplacement. Au calme, à la sortie d’Happutale. Avec une superbe vue d’un côté et de l'autre les plantations de thé (petite balade sympa à faire). Personnel sympa. Belle vue de la chambre. Grande chambre. Petit déjeuner bien servi.

Tout était parfait ! Notre hôte a été incroyable. Gentil, de bon conseils concernant le programme de notre voyage et surtout très arrangeant sur les transports. La chambre était très agréable et avec une super vue. Super rapport qualité/prix. Merci beaucoup pour ce moment.

The location is perfect if you love hiking and the views are stunning. The room was large and well equipped, with a hairdryer and a comfortable bed. Shan is a brilliant host and his wife’s cooking is excellent - do make sure you try the food.

It would have been nice to have had a change of towels during our stay
