Srilak View Holiday Inn

We booked 2 days and extended one more night. The best thing is the balcony! And the huge floor to ceiling window is also incredible. The view is spectacular. We felt like we were already on Lipton’s seat! The room is spacious and the ceiling is high. The interior and the furniture are all of a high standard and such great value for money. It’s only 5-10 minutes to wander to the town of Haputale but it’s away from the busy area so it’s quiet and we had a good sleep. We had a dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. You should try the Sri Lankan breakfast- fish curry and chicken curry was the one of the best food we had in Sri Lanka! We will definitely stay again if we come back to Haputale.

Our stay at Srilak View Holiday Inn started with their greeting to us immediately upon arrival. They offered a free upgrade and made sure we were comfortable upon arrival. We were blown away with how accurate the view was represented in their pictures, if anything, they are underselling how lovely the view is. The view from the restaurant and dining area, and the view from the rooms. We were upgraded to the newly built deluxe rooms and they were the best kind of ease on a travelers mind. Come and find out. The rooms are modern, functional and clean and spacious to allow for the mind to rest. They offered breakfast and other meals from their Menu and did allow for requests if they could accommodate it. Their young chef has a great future I believe. The new building has a modern functional and clean aesthetic while the old building had that rustic vibe. And everyone there, all were there to help you in whatever you needed. And no, that didn't mean trying to take advantage of you in any way. They called and arranged for tours for the best price, and if you wanted to, they would call more people and haggle the price down. The front office team, the cleaning team, everyone takes their responsibility of making you comfortable seriously, and allows you to enjoy your holiday. This is a hidden gem. And there is only one way for you to find it. A trip to Haputale is not only for a hotel stay though. its attractions are not only the named places, every part of the way is picturesque and everyone has the perspective of appreciating your time to enjoy the views and interactions and the various teas and small shack snacks you would like to enjoy. Want to be in the clouds? Would recommend 10/10. Come to Haputale. Stay at SriLak.

Amazing view. Very clean, spacious room. Great hot shower. Modern, clean. Very comfortable bed and towels. Nice hotel.

The incredible views from the balcony, room size and the staff. Generous breakfast.

Poor value for money…Lack of atmosphere (partially due to fuel crisis and low visitor numbers) , dated room and worn out facilities , excessive noise of other travellers arriving in the middle of the night and cold shower.
