Chez Clochette is a gem of a place very close to the centre of Bruges. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the centre. Our room was at the back of the house and was very quiet. It was a good size with an enormous double bed and plenty of storage space. There was a coffee pod machine and a kettle in our room. The bathroom is not ensuite but is right next to the bedroom. Our understanding was that the owner, Christian, only lets out the other bedroom in conjunction with the room we were in, that is for people in the same party. Therefore you have the whole of the first floor of the building to yourself. The other room contains a small fridge which we also had at our disposal. Christian was so kind and helpful. He has a parking space in a nearby underground car park. If you want to reserve it (at no extra cost), do mention it when you book. Breakfast isn't an option Chez Clochette but there is an excellent brasserie Smeepoorte nearby which offered a delicious and satisfying continental breakfast at a reasonable price. Christian was also helpful advising where we could buy reasonably priced petrol and a florist.

Nothing but some decaf coffee bags would have been good. But that is being very picky!
