Great location and spacious room.

The location was great. Easy to walk from train along the park. Easy walk to center of town and lots of restaurants nearby. Room was spacious and easy to use entrance code. Manager allowed us to arrive 30 mins early which was very helpful.

Was not able to figure out how to turn on vent in bathroom. Sewer smell in bathroom.

Excellent location for city attractions

Excellent location about 3 mins around the corner to local shops then another 10 mins straight on to the main city centre attractions such as Markt, Belfont, restaurants etc.. Also easy to walk to/from train station, about 12 mins. Whole building was very quiet. Room 3 on top floor was spacious with a king size bed, lovely views and location for evening stroll and a good shower.

The main issue I suffered from were mosquitos which flew into the room from the river so we had to shut the window which wasn't ideal as on days when it was very hot, the room became rather warm at night. It would be beneficial to have a mosquito net, or screen, and if, like me, you are a sweet smelling human ;-), recommend you take mosquito repellent and anti-histamine cream! Would be far better to have a small fridge in the room rather than down the stairs but grateful to have the use of one.

Nice room with a fantastic location but being a loft room makes it very hot, and could be cleaner.

Fantastic location, lovely apartment by the canal, everything you need facility-wise.

Not very clean- squashed mosquitos all over the ceiling, shower needs a good scrub. Too hot on a hot day- the sun sets and shines into the room and as it’s a loft room it is stifling, and they provide only a tiny fan. Nice on a cooler day. Bring mosquito repellent as it’s by the canal!

Great place, Great location...just needs a new bed

Location to the train station was very nice for us since we were backpacking. And it's surprisingly close to the main historic downtown with a great little restuarant just a block away (Unique). I'm GF/DF and this little restaurant was great for me. The property is very well-cared for and we appreciated the microwave and fridge as well as the overall feel...felt like coming home at the end of the day.

We stayed in the room with the shared toilet at the bottom of the stairs next to the entry and did not have any issues with this arrangement. While we really liked this property overall, we struggled with having a good night's sleep due to the mattress being very thin and hard (I like a firm mattress too) and the bed had a horrible squeeking sound on the side my husband slept on so that every time he moved it made a loud sound....if they upgraded the bed in this space, it would have easily been my 2nd favorite stay of our two week trip to Europe...we stayed in 5 places overall. They have appointed the room with all the little necessities...they just missed the mark on the main attraction...a good night's sleep. Traveling is exciting, but equally exhausting....fix that bed, please.

The house is a bit „loud“ in the sense that you hear other people walking or closing doors sometimes. Not because they are loud people but because the floor and doors are a bit loud. Didn’t find it a major problem though since there are only three rooms in the house after all :)

Location was good.

Not possible to lock the door to the room, very simple set-up, not good enough. Steep stairs down to a toilet that almost ran over when flushing. Not possible to get in touch via phone to the management.

The location of the stay was very near to our conference centre and was near to the station as well. Nice clean rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable stay overall.

It would have been better if there were provisions for breakfast. The electric water kettle wasn't particularly clean. Response from the host during the stay wasn't prompt.

Modern suite in a historic building

Beds were comfortable, Location was quiet and very convenient walking distance to the historic centre. It is also an easy 10 minute walk to the train station Suite was well appointed modern bright and airy with a nice view of parkland. The bathroom for room 2 is outstanding with a large shower and a separate modern bathtub by a window. No problems with internet or tv streaming, Easy self check in. Nespresso machine is also a plus.

Toilets was dirty — pretty sure someone else was using it when it was meant to be private. Floorboards from the room above were loud and given that someone was walking at 3am, kept interrupted our sleep. This only happened on the last night tho.

The owner contacted us many times before our stay to tell us what to do! Not needed communication about how not to use the heating too much. Not needed information about how to leave the property when leaving. Not needed info about how to use the water. We received 6 messages from Owner prior to arrival which ended up being really annoying.

Location is convenient. Shops are right round the corner. Bed was comfortable.

Hostel experience in a subdivided flat. There is €49 included as cleaning fee but they don't even bother to empty the rubbish bin in your room before you check in. Quite many mosquitoes are left inside your room and the bathroom to greet you. You are also asked to do the room maintenance for them (e.g. take out rubbish from your room, take glass bottles to a recycling point, etc.) when you self-check out. Bathroom only accessible through the common area. Non-soundproof doors and rooms ensure you hear people slamming their doors and television as well as street traffic. The last thing you want in your holiday is waking up to people drilling and hammering the walls at 8 am, then hoovering and moving furniture at 9. Not worth the money at all. Go for other options in town.

It was very nice.

Overall it was very clean and nice. Location was perfect, as it is close to both centre and the park. Room clearly was newly furbished and looked modern.

You could hear other tenants. The bathroom is not connected to the room. However, bathroom itself was still private, very nice, and possible to lock. For me personally the biggest issue is that it was not possible to leave luggage at the property. The train I needed to take was at late evening, and check out is at 11. So the day I was hoping to spend going out to museums and restaurants was slightly spoiled by needing to carry my luggage with me.

Amazing apartment, quiet and comfortable. I highly recommend it!

Great location - within walking distance from the train station and city centre. Very quiet and peaceful, right in front of a green area. The room is spacious, has 2 windows and proper curtains. We appreciated the coffee machine. Comfy bed, table and 2 chairs, huge wardrobe. The fridge is in the hallway, as is the toilet. There's also TV with Netflix and some other programmes.

Washing dishes in the super small sink is quite challenging. I would advice to buy a few more small side tables, a couple of hangers and a place to put wet towels. Also, I think it would be useful to add a door to the shower area.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at De Hoogmolen.

We enjoyed the location on the park overlooking the greenery. It was also walking distance to the old town which was great. The space was clean and neat and we enjoyed the coffee machine and the little bit of coffee left for us! Thank you for a lovely stay.

It was a little bit noisy in the early morning with the cyclists and cars on the road, but it was nice and quiet at night. We struggled to catch a cab to our next spot, so perhaps there could be some assistance there for example leaving a number for a cab company we can contact. The bathroom is separate to the room which is not ideal, but it was very clean and modern. Such a pity we missed our first night as our flight was cancelled without prior notice and the booking was non-refundable so we did loose some money for something beyond our control which is unfortunate. We wished we could have stayed another night!

Very nice Appartement

The location was great! The apartment is situated just next to a parc and not so far from the main train station (13min by foot) and not far from the city center of Bruges! The room is very comfy and very quiet.

Cosy, fun, and enjoyable - Have already recommended it to friends and colleagues!

Location was excellent - so close to everything but tucked away so not in the middle of the busyness. Everything round the corner and gorgeous view over the canal - the only bit of green we saw in Bruges! The rooms were surprisingly cosy and it felt very private even though the fridge was at the end of the corridor and we had to leave the room to go to the bathroom.

The lighting in the bedroom could have been better. The overhead light, despite being the main one, was quite dim, and not the most pleasant, and the bedside lamps were v pleasant but couldn't be used as a middle ground for example, say if you wanted to read a book. I would recommend adjustable lighting. The lighting in the bathroom was much better and had different brightness levels. Perhaps the same could be installed in the bedrooms.

It is a very very good BB. Walking distance everywhere ( train station, old town), all stuff is new, very comfortable bed and bathroom. The view to the channel is adorable. Very valuable for the money.
