Sally the owner had kindly opened the annexe before I arrived as it was a very hot day and she'd aired it ready for me. She then helped to carry my bags in. She and her family live next door but it was very quiet. When my family visited she took us all to meet her horses, which was a great treat for my little grandson. The fan was a godsend. Luckily the annexe faced north, so it was cooler to sit outside in the shade. Verbal and written suggestions for the area were good, and I made use of them.
I liked everything, however every property I have visited over the years provide a thick duvet! I always take a sheet with me which is all I need in the summer to sleep under. Could all properties consider thinner summer bedding? I suggested to Sally that a radio would be a nice addition, especially when there is only one of you!
