The historic, charming town of Sandwich, a 5-minute drive away, is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Britain, with its pretty streets lined with historic buildings and quaint cottages, set back from, and overlooking the quay, with a choice of independent restaurants, cafés, pubs and individual shops. There are boat trips from Sandwich taking you to marvel at the seals lining the edge of Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve, a real sight to see. For a day at the beach, Sandwich Bay is certainly worth a visit, whilst the shingled beach at Deal is also nearby, within a 15-minute drive; as well as the vibrant, creative centre of Deal, with intriguing art galleries, boutique shops, and excellent eateries. The Honey House really is in an ideal position for exploring much of Kent’s hot spots, coast, and countryside.

The Honey House was within a beautiful location, just 12 minutes drive into Deal (lovely beach location) and lots of country walks on the door step. The Honey House is next to a field of Goats and I believe backs onto the owners House. We loved seeing the Goats in the morning.Peaceful quiet location, not far from a main road, however not much traffic passed us so did not really hear anything. The Honey House had everything we needed, great for a long weekend break away for a few nights.Very clean and peaceful, we will be back again

Really enjoyed our stay. Scenery was beautiful and we were welcomed by the goats every morning when we got up. Cottage was lovely - it had everything we needed. A softer mattress would have made it perfect for us. The village was lovely and everyone was friendly.

Honey Cottage made a great base for our short weekend stay in the area. The layout is a one-room living style, with separate bedroom and bathroom, ideal for two persons. The location is away from the main road and peaceful, with a good parking space adjacent to the cottage. There is a small secluded patio area to sit out in which we did not use due to the time of year. A grassed area is also provided for dogs to exercise in at the end of the driveway, beside the road. The kitchen and bathroom are fitted out well with modern equipment and fittings all of a good standard, and with room to work without obstructing the lounge half of the main room. The bedroom is a good size, with storage enough for a short stay, and the bathroom is large and has a good shower, with plenty of elbow room! Heating was good and simple to use and hot water was available at all times as needed. The cottage was cleaned to a very high standard on arrival, with a small basket of goodies provided as a welcome. A guide to the workings of the cottage and some local facilities was included. We used the pub in the village, The Five Bells, and found it nice and friendly, with an old fashioned pub feel to it. About 200 metres along the road is a small park area which is suitable for a larger dog walking area if needed.Honey cottage was ideal for our short stay, our thanks to Louise.
