Waterman's Cottage

Great location, lots of character in keeping with the area. Lovely furniture and well laid out. Had everything we needed, the courtyard was perfect for our dog and the location was central to everything in Sandwich. Check in and check out was easy thanks to the instructions from our hosts. Parking was sorted for us nearby before check in which was super helpful. All in all, a lovely stay, would recommend! Parking is a short walk away, so if you’re looking for parking at the property, this wouldn’t be for you, but the old streets of Sandwich do not offer parking, however, to have somewhere nearby to parking, Waterman’s Cottage is as close as you’ll get. The property is a short stroll to the Quayside, lots of small shops, cafe’s, bar, pubs and restaurants.

Great little place in the heart of all the old building great location surprisingly peaceful

The cottage is in a perfect location about 3 minutes from the centre of Sandwich , parking was sorted by the owners who arranged free parking for the stay a few minutes away . We loved the house , it had great character ,really nice size ,decorated well ,very comfy beds and white wooden shutters in the main rooms which was great in the heat . The 2 bathrooms were excellent ,very spacious and great showers , the cottage had a really cosy feel about it and had a nice courtyard garden with pots of plants and lit up at night . The owners were very friendly and available when needed and responded quickly , equipped with everything you need and lovely tower fans in the bedrooms which helped in the heat . Everything was very clean We know we will be back .

Can’t really think of anything except you had to get the hang of opening and closing the front door , maybe a bit of lubrication , maybe a long mirror somewhere ,but that’s being fussy

The property was beautiful however they do not cater for pets and children as per the description, also they will try to claim for apparent damages that you didn’t do. The area is quaint and beautiful and well worth a visit but do make sure to take before and after pictures, or perhaps book with someone else that isn’t going to charge you £750 for leaving some mess behind and a ridiculous amount for your toddler accidentally wetting the bed.
