Retro Inspired Design Home in the Heart of Sandwich

A beautifully presented little cottage in the heart of town but close to rail station. The perfect chill spot for me and my daughter. They even left us some milk to make a cuppa when we arrived and a packet of biscuits, which was lovely.

Very cosy, comfy beds, clean and tidy either everything you could need. Cute little garden.

The location! Brilliantly situated in old Sandwich, tucked away opposite the vicarage in a peaceful partly medieval lane, yet a mere stone’s throw from the enchanting historic centre of Sandwich, this characterful little cottage provides you with the perfect base for exploring the beautiful local beaches and cafés as well as an art gallery, the museum and quirky traditional shops. It was well-equipped with modern kitchen appliances and the beds were very comfy with crisp cotton bed linen throughout. The double bedroom was spacious and the twin room was cosy. Almost all the cupboards seemed to have a huge array of toys and books for kids, as well as the living room being stacked with books and CDs as well as a TV, so a perfect family base too. There were lots of personal touches such as fresh coffee and teas and milk supplied before arrival, the kitchen cleaning stuff was already there, and there were even new bath sponges for everyone! Above all, the fresh sea air all round restored us completely!

The narrow roads all round us were very tricky for vehicles passing each other but well worth the effort and you do get used to the challenge quite quickly. Parking was worse than London but we always found somewhere in the end.

Location was wonderful, such a lovely area and very close to wonderful pubs and short drives to fantastic beaches. Log fire was a huge decision maker for us and we really enjoyed using it and relaxing after a day of exploring. Comfy sofa and bed, powerful shower.

The dishwasher doesn't open fully so it's difficult to load and unload. It's quite drafty near the windows.

The location was very handy.

Television wsa a little on the small size.
