Private Heated Pool Oasis Hot Tub, Bar , games & Retreat

The 4 bedrooms spread across 3 buildings ensured privacy for all the family. Lovely to have a pool and hot tub to ourselves. Lovely to have a games room - more about that later... There was a second hot tub but we got the impression we weren't to use that one.

Shame that, in a high end property, the bedding was a polyester mix fabric and very, very crumpled & creased from the tumble dryer with no apparent attempt at ironing. My wife mentioned this to the domestic staff on the last day and was advised that the issue would be fed back to the owner. Slightly disappointed that the fridge in The Barn was very dirty, as was the outdoor BBQ and the The Barn's oven. The Barn (our bedroom) could do with a thorough clean in the corners, behind the loo and under the furniture - our grandchildren's small toys found their way amongst the balls of hair and dust which was pretty unpleasant.. The TV in the smallest bedroom/building didn't appear to work - again, it was a bit disappointing but the ones in The Barn and in the 2 storey building were fine. There were only 2 seats by the pool but the accomodation sleeps twelve?! There were no plastic cups for the pool area, despite a sign requesting guests not to use glass. We mentioned this to the owner. Just before we checked out our Grandson found 2 pieces of broken glass at the edge of the very well kept lawn. There is a fun slide into the pool but no steps in or out, so a bit tricky if you are less able. The games room was a lovely treat however it is very tired: The felt of the snooker/pool table is torn so a bit difficult to play properly. Air hockey was good though. There is a fruit machine but guests need to have pound coins to use this (seems odd to have to pay). The darts are blunt so wouldn't stay in the dart board. There is a full bar with an honesty box, which was a lovely idea despite us not using this. Check-out was 11am but the hot tub was emptied at 8am(ish) so no morning dip before heading home.
