Loved the uniqueness of staying on the barge.
Location excellent - very close to the centre of Sandwich but also very peaceful
Comfy bed with nice quality bed linen
Barge was well equipped
Loved sitting on the deck in the sunshine and the chairs are deceptively comfortable (I am trying to source some for my garden at home!)
Instructions sent before our stay on the barge were comprehensive & helpful
In low tide the gangplank was very very steep. That’s just the way it is & it’s much easier to get on and off in high tide. I think disabled or elderly would really struggle
The bedroom is oddly shaped (again it’s just the shape of the barge), but being tall I managed to hit my head a couple of times when moving about.
Overall though the barge is a fantastic experience and these minor things do not detract from a great stay!

We’ve always wanted to stay on a barge and this did not disappoint. So spacious and comfortable- we absolutely loved it! We only live a few miles away but the barge and location lets you switch off and relax

Very spacious; every detail and need thought off, extremely well equipped. Great location. Tasteful decor and cosy at night time
High humidity but weather related. Steep gangplank and hard to get luggage off the barge. Bed mattress not great.

We enjoyed the experience of being on a tidal river, as it was something we hadn't done before.
We enjoyed ( weather permitting) being sat on the deck having a glass of wine.
