This is a clean, modern apartment and it's relatively big. There's easy parking on the street outside and there are some great views across the river towards the castle. From my experience of renting apartments in France, they're either big but a bit dirty and run-down (shabby chique), or very nicely maintained but tiny. This one is plenty big enough and really well maintained. There are niches everywhere to store your suitcases/luggage so you don't have to continually jump over them. It's also got air-conditioning just in case it gets really hot (or cold). It's even got electric sockets everywhere you could possibly want one. I think it might be the nicest apartment we've ever rented in France.

There's not much to dislike. The stairs up to the apartment are a bit tight and might not be easy if you're not very mobile or you have suitcases. I would prefer something like a nespresso machine to the senseo machine that is in the apartment. A pot for making tea in would be very nice. It'd also be nice if it was more clearly indicated that linnen/towels are not included in the listing on booking.com and how much they cost. That's honestly everything I can think of that could be better.

Wir waren 5 Tage in Amboise. Wir haben an 4 Tagen gekocht, die Küche war sehr geeignet und gut ausgestattet. Das größere Bett im Schlafzimmer war gut. Die Stadt war schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Gegenüber gab es eine gute Bäckerei und einen guten Metzger,

Die Information, daß Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Kissen und Duschvorlage nicht im Preis enthalten ist und separat gemietet werden müßte war an einem ungewöhnlichen Abschnitt und nur auf Französisch hinterlegt. Transparenter wäre es wenn das klar in den Ausstattungsmerkmalen oder bei wichtigen Informationen oder bei Unterkunftsrichtlinien stehen würde. Die Mietpreise für Bettwäsche für Doppelbetten = 24,00 € (inkl. 2 Handtücher) pro Bett - Bettwäsche für Einzelbetten = 18,00 € (inkl. 1 Handtuch) pro Bett - Option „Betten bei Anreise bezogen = 7,20 € pro Bett. Die Treppe zum Appartement ist tatsächlich recht eng. Die Terrasse ist 2.Stockwerke tiefer von außen gesehen links von der Eingangstür. Die zwei Einzelbetten sind hinsichtlich Lattenrost und Matratze verbesserungsfähig.

Nous avons respecté les consignes et réglé la climatisation à 24°, mais l’unité intérieure dans la chambre a fui toute la nuit, goutte à goutte. Nous avons été obligés de mettre une bassine en plastique et une serviette par terre pour limiter les dégâts. . C’était très gênant pour dormir
