Carmah Nubian Guesthouse

On the west bank of the Nile and away from the noise of Aswan is this little gem in the lovely Nubian Eco Village. The host was always helpful and could answer all our questions in good english. The rooms are on the second floor of the house and the floor was partly filled with fine sand that made you feel like you are on a beach or in the nearby desert. The decoration is very lovely done. Each room has air condition, and although it's merely as loud as a fan, ear plugs are recommended if you are sensitive to noise.

Sara and her father were so welcoming. We were lost getting to the guesthouse and she was easy to reach via watsapp and kindly translated to our driver where to take us. Me and my partner also fell really ill during the trip and they were accommodating in terms of what they would cook for us. They happily accommodated to our dietary requirements and offered to cut us some amazing fresh oranges to help with our illness. Overall it was such a cool experience staying in this Nubian guesthouse and it is perfectly located from Aswan mainland which is only a 5 minute ferry ride.

There is a shared bathroom between all the guest houses and sometimes the room can get cold during the night ( especially in the winter seasons). But the owners were more than happy to give us warm blanket. Do not make the same mistake we made when we booked a driver from Aswan who took us to the actual Nubian village as this guesthouse is located in the Nubian Eco village!
