It was a good quiet retreat with a very good view catching morning sun with an evening sun trap too.

Good kywatching and silent place, 20-30min distance from the Ruakaka beach and Whangarei.

Nice place in the middle of nowhere with close to dark sky quality conditions for skywatchers. You can have everything here for good long weekend, being relaxed and visit the region by car. Basically everything is in 20-40 minutes distance, so be prepared for some driving, if you need anything. The apartmant is in good shape in general for 2-3 people.

Home away from home 🏡

The price for this is absolutely great value for your money!!! It felt like home away from home. We were last-minute bookers and arrived 10 minutes after booking and were greeted straight away by, I guess, the neighbor. The view is insane but you can not see chicken and hen island. The cabin has everything you need with so much room and balcony out front and back. The kai garden is beautiful aswell as the pretty garden.

Stunning spot with million dollar views at budget friendly price.

I’ve used Air bnb and bookings multiple times here in NZ and overseas this would be one of the nicest spots I’ve ever stayed, incredible views from a stunning rural location In a gorgeous clean, comfortable dwelling perfect for 1 or a small family as the couch in the lounge fold out into a double bed and a very well equipped kitchen.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact I couldn’t stay longer and had to come back to the big city… Boooo. Ha

A hidden gem

I was running very late and was very lost, but a quick phone call (which was very kind) had me on the right track again! The view was spectacular in the morning! What a gorgeous place to stay 😍

Quiet in the country hills.

Quiet location up in the hills above Ruakaka. Lots of local wildlife as you wake to the sound of birds. Good parking.

The location was absolutely superb . A quiet relaxing stay with native birds all around and bijou and comfortable accommodation Loved our stay very much

It was a lovely surprise / as described: A Retreat. There were quite a few unexpected delights / amazing salt and pepper grinders with LED lights. The shower is blissful.

Peaceful getaway

The peace and quiet (just birdsong!) with a stunning view, and coffee, soap, a smart tv, deck-chairs...everything I could have needed. Easy self-check in!

Quiet location 4KM from the main road with breath-taking views and surrounded by nature. The cottage is suitable for 2-3 people and has great kitchen facilities, vegetable garden, front and back decks, TV & WiFi. Close to shops and beaches.

The bathroom smelt damp so an extractor fan would help. A spa would make it perfect!

Wipe kitchen table. Glass water marks on table top. Bedside table. Left hand one. Needed dusting. Bedroom window sill had dead insects on it by curtain left hand side. Everything else was fine

A truly superb "Retreat" away from all the hustle and bustle, fitted out with all that you need for a short or long stay, with the most amazing views and incredible sunrises. The host, Mark, was more than helpful in all ways possible & went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay 100%. We shall definitely be using the "Retreat" accommodation again on our next trip up to the North Island, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mark's paradise hideaway with a BIG AAAAAA++++++

Prima en het uitzicht 👌🏻

De locatie is top! Ja je moet via een gravelpad omhoog rijden gedurende een paar KM maar daarna het uitzicht! Schattig huisje de eigenaar is druk bezig met alles weer fris en fruitig te maken! Succes!
