Fenkle Street Alnwick Apartment

Lovely clean flat, close to town & all amenities. Very comfortable home from home. Everything you needed was available.

When booking I didnt realise there was 2 flights of stairs to reach the flat & I have mobility issues. The people staying above us were up from 5.30am continuously walking around and the floor boards were creaking badly, so much so that it woke us every morning.

Clean, had everything you need. Walking distance to shops.

Shower needs attending to.

Good central location with no street noise. Plenty of parking outside (2 hours) or round the corner for 24 hours. A wee bit of car shifting but wasn’t too bad.

The thin floorboards meant you heard the upstairs neighbours every time they walked around including late at night and early morning even with ear plugs in. Cleanliness was on the poor side, cobwebs, fluff on floor, dirty skirting’s and bedside tables etc The place looks tired and would really improve with freshening up with paint and furniture and decor that matches and flows as it’s a random mismatch. No toilet roll holder in the bathroom was beyond annoying and having the hand towel next to the toilet was inconvenient and felt a little unhygienic. Also no hooks in bathroom to hang towels or clothes Double bed meant you had to squeeze past to get round and nowhere to hang clothes in either room. There is a hanging rail in the hallway but not where you want to hang your clothes. Kitchen is lacking a few basics like grater and more wooden spoons and sharp knifes. Everything crammed into cupboards rather than properly organised. Fridge is in a really awkward place right behind the kitchen door. No information regarding where or what recycling options there are for this area. We ended up taking our recycling and glass home to recycle rather put in the general waste
