Absolutely superb location. Easy to follow directions to find the apartment and gain access. Spotless and very warm and comfortable. Very quiet locale as well, especially given its central location

Perfect location for access to castle, garden, shops, Barter Books etc just a short walk away. Picked up breakfast at local bakery, Sunday lunch at the Market Tavern on the same street, few minutes walk to the Dirty Bottles for cocktails, fab meal at Thai restaurant across the road etc
The host was also very kind allowing a later checkout as the clock change happened on our visit! Nice not to have to get up an extra hour early on a weekend break! Much appreciated.
Parking was easy for unloading etc but needed to move car within the time limit. However, if you want a good central location then moving the car to a nearby car park is a reasonable - and expected/planned for - compromise! Parking discs available for £1 at the Market Tavern a few doors away from accommodation.

No central heating / no hot water to wash hands / washing up unless the boiler was switched on for an hour.

Brilliant location. Easy parking at Morrisons next door to unload. Then free 24 hour parking at Dispensary St. It would have been helpful to have this information before arriving.
Antiquated heating systems. Flat was freezing cold and storage heaters never came on. Bedroom heaters made alot of noise so had to unplug. Several cobwebs and very dusty TV and other surfaces. Doors need cleaning/painting. Greasy oven handle. Dirty shower screen seal and grout. We were not warned of 3 flights of stairs although we were ok with it, others may not. Bed linen felt thin and quite old, though quilt nice and warm. Stretch covers on sofa obviously hiding something? Needs ring binder with instructions for use of all appliances etc plus local information would be nice.
