Lovely comfortable home from home with lots of little extras.

Perfect location , quiet , minutes from town. Comfortable beds. Excellent facilities. Lots of recommendations and information from host for places to visit and things to do. Lovely welcome gifts.

Lovely property and helpful team

Great attention to detail and helpful notes. The welcoming touches with a lovely cake, drinks and chocolates make a difference. The detailed advice and recommendations before our visit helped make the most of it. It's a nice house and close to the main street. Well equipped with all the kitchen essentials and more.

The temperamental stove in the lounge was a minor niggle.

Highly recommend. Great property and location.

Excellent accommodation. Very nicely decorated with much attention to detail. Extremely well equipped kitchen and added extras such as maps and holders, shopping bags and umbrella. Good WiFi throughout. Soft, but comfortable beds. Includes lovely personal touches and treats on arrival. Check in very easy. On street parking either outside or generally close to the property. On a bit of a hill but easy walking distance into town.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about the house but it is very close to a church where the bells chime every 15 mins from 6am to 11pm every day which is worth knowing. It is not so much of a problem during the day but can be a nuisance if sleeping in the twin room. Hence 8/10 for comfort.

Comfortable, fabulous and would definitely come again!

This house was so thoughtfully equipped with every possible item required for a short (or long)stay plus lots of maps and info about Northumberland and generous supplies of welcome basics such as tea and coffee etc, wonderful cake and bottle of fizz. All very much appreciated and of course went down very well. Stylish up to date decor and everything was very clean. Bathrooms immaculate. Loved the sparky lights in the back yard!!!

A lovely cottage in a great location for exploring Northumberland.

Code was sent a week before so it was quick and easy to get them out of the lock box. There were another set of keys inside the property which was very useful too.

Although the house was very clean the hose on the shower obviously hadn't been cleaned for a while. It had thick black soap scum in the ridges of the hose that came off when having a shower. It wasn't the nicest experience.

Fabulous property close to the centre of Alnwick

Beautiful property well furnished and comfortable. Hamper of goodies on arrival was a real treat. The property is well located and very well equipped - a complete home from home. Could not fault it and would certainly recommend and stay there again if we visited the area. It was a great base for the area as well as within a short walk of the main centre of Alnwick. Parking was not an issue but not necessarily outside of the property. Really good communication from the owner.

the location was within walking distance of the town. it was easy to find when we got there. well equipped house.

Highly recommended in Alnwick.

The house is in a great location and central to the town. Easy access to the Castle and all shops and supermarkets. The coast is only 8 miles away, such as Alnmouth and Amble. The house has everything you need to make your stay an enjoyable holiday. Parking is directly outside and there is always a chance of finding a space. Falstaff house is a very cosy home, so wasn't cold at all. The place is very spacious and the main bedroom has its own bathroom. Second bedroom uses the main bathroom, which has a bath tub as well as shower. A big thank you to the owner Louise, who does her upmost to make your stay so enjoyable. Milk is provided and their is plenty supplies of tea and coffee and homemade cake and biscuits to get you started. Would highly recommend this property to stay in for a short break or long term holiday. Can't wait to return again.

Absolutely brilliant stay and we’d love to come again

The accommodation was perfect with a large front room, kitchen which leads into a lovely courtyard, big upstairs with two bathrooms and roomy bedrooms! We travelled with our young son and I can confirm you can fit a ‘next to me’ next to the bed in the main bedroom - just incase anyone else is looking to book here with small children. It’s lovingly stocked with all the things you’ll need for a comfortable stay - tea, coffee, cooking equipment, fluffy towels etc The location is really central to Alnwick, we walked into town to collect a takeaway on the first night and it was a 10 min round trip! it's also a perfect base for travelling to seahouses, alnmouth, craster, bamburgh etc! Plus the famous Barter Books is 5 mins away. Finally, we were greeted by a welcome hamper with a card complete with suggestions of things to do during our stay + a lovely bottle of fizz and card for our anniversary. We’d love to stay again!

Just one thing - we could of done with a hoover just to whip over the downstairs floors while we were staying.

Perfectly situated just off the Main Street. Excellent facilities with attention to detail and added treats on arrival. Superhosting at its best with advice and information on places to visit and things to do.

Cannot fault property . The swing sign outside the pub opposite could do with oiling as it’s squeaks loudly in the wind but that is nothing to do with the property ;)

Welcoming and thoughtful host, fabulous house that would be hard to beat in the area.

Excellent location, close to the centre of town but still able to park in the street outside. The house is bright and airy and there are so many little touches that make it special. Louise text to check that all was okay and had left us some treats for our arrival. There was tea and coffee (including decaffeinated) and milk waiting for us, which meant we did not need to go out again immediately. There was lots of information about how to use the various equipment in the house and also lots of information about the local area. The kitchen is well equipped, the house was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. We would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a base in the area.

A wonderful 3 night mini break . More than home from home.

Falstaff House was one of the best ,if not the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. The hospitality goodies the owner left in place were excellent and most welcome. The house was warm, cosy extremely comfortable on all levels, with all the information re the area ,the equipment, the local hostelries etc we could wish for. Books to read, games to play,and comfortable beds to sleep in . Pretty much perfect..

Wonderful stay!

It was exceptionally clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We couldn’t fault it. There was a great deal of information left in the cottage from Louise and her team with what to do and where to go. Also there were some lovely personal touches to make you feel at home and welcome, the fresh flowers were a lovely touch and the cake was delicious too!

Superb accommodation. Bright, well appointed and characterful. We were two but it would accommodate 2-4 comfortably. Louise and team made it spotless. Superb welcome pack and lots of tips of things to do. 4 minutes from local amenities. Would gladly return. 5*
