Appartement Triplex à Saint-Germain-des-Prés

This flat is in a spectacular neighborhood, easily accessible to some of Paris’ most iconic sights, shopping, food markets, metro and restaurants. We loved that each level of the tri-plex had a full bathroom; this worked well for our party of 3 as we each had our own floor of living space. The flat has been tastefully renovated, and the rain shower pressure was excellent. Our host, Paul, was responsive and communicative. He checked in on our stay and provided recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try. All three of us staying on this trip have lived in Paris before, but we checked out the recommendations and agree there were some good ones! Bistrot Paupiette around the corner on rue Vaneau became one of our new favorites; we ended up going twice (dinner and then a lunch). I would absolutely love to stay here again.

True to Parisian architecture, I’ll advise on the creaky wood staircase leading from the main floor up to the first above one of the bedrooms. It wasn’t a problem, but it might require two hands on each side rail so those with trouble walking up stairs should be particularly mindful. It is a tri-plex, after all! The basement cave felt humid upon arrival due to the warm spring weather, but the flat does have air conditioning so this didn’t concern me. We also enjoyed leaving the windows open while we were in the flat letting in the spring air. There really isn’t anything that would prevent me from staying again. It was such a lovely vacation!

Looks like unfinished construction site - door knobs coming off, electrical outlets unsecured, bedroom without curtains with street lights in your eyes all night, not to mention neighbors able to virtually be with you in your bedroom from their windows across the street
