Cosy Laurel Nest Near Loch Ness

We liked the street and the ease of parking. It felt safe. Very easy to access the islands and other things we needed to do in Inverness. A short drive to the coop. The bedrooms were very clean, the kitchen was equipped although we could have done with more t towels. It was handy having a dishwasher. The hot water wasn’t working when we arrived but the host sent someone round and fixed the boiler within an hour of my phone call. There was a new tv with Netflix, that the kids enjoyed. It was very quiet, nice views out the back over the hills. It was a 10min walk across the town.

There was something sticky throughout all the rooms on plug points and other places. There was a bad smell coming from the sofa bed. It could do with a patch up with some fresh paint in places. the bins were overflowing outside.

3 separate bedrooms.

The beds felt like camping beds. It does say single beds, but 2 of them are put together and have only a double duvet on. The beds don’t stay together as double and the duvet isn’t big enough to use otherwise. Also, some little things as says tea and coffee making facilities, there were no pods for the coffee maker, there were no coffee at all. (Only used coffee pods in the coffee maker.) There were also no bin bags anywhere, they require you to take the rubbish out from the flat to the bin, but the bin outside was full. Seeing the schedule it should have been emptied the day we arrived. They sent a message a few days before our stay to ask arrival time, sent the details and a phone number to contact if there is any issue. There was no further communication from their part they did not answer my message on booking, I sent after we checked in not the message I sent to the mobile number the next day. Also there was massive bottle of shampoo and conditioner but no shower gel.
