Large City Centre 3 Bed Flat with Parking

The living room was spacious

Many things should be corrected in this apartment: - The entrance was miserable and you will find the trash bins beside the main entrance full with garbages and the bad smell covers the area. - The windows in the living and master rooms cannot be opened due to the windows sliders were not working and we have installed clothes hungers to keep them opened. - The mattress covers were not clean and one of the mattress was damaged.

The location's excellent - across from Butte Park, about a kilometer (.7 miles) walk into town. Lots of buses given North Road's central role. The apartment is light & airy and comes with two bathrooms, three bedrooms with full-size beds, a dishwasher, washing machine & induction stovetop. We would stay here again -- given what we learned and will be prepared for next time (see "what didn't you like"...).

We were disappointed in the Property Mgmt & hope that this was simply a bad week for them. If you are prepared for what we encountered, you can overcome the minor obstacles and appreciate this nice apartment: * Basic supplies were not provided - like soap (all forms: sink, dishwasher, washing machine), paper towels, tissues, cooking foil/paper, etc. TIP: The Lidl store a few blocks from the flat is the place to go! * There are no dressers or other furniture to store clothing in - just a simple rack in each bedroom with too few hangers (we bought & left more so hope this will be easier for others) * Parking: a free parking space was advertised, but it was not marked or reserved clearly. Instructions for finding it were incorrect & during most of our week it was occupied (once we found it...). Instructions are also missing for where to walk to get to the building's entrance from this parking lane. * Internet: the welcoming email left the WiFi password "space" blank....I emailed back and was given a password - but it didn't work. TIP: The correct WiFi info is on the back of the router in the flat's living room. * Bathrooms: one is small & en suite - but complete. The main bathroom is 10 steps up from the main floor & 4 steps down from the 2nd floor. There is a drop from this bathroom to the landing. We all tripped...some fell. Bring some form of nightlight. * Last, but not least: we asked, twice, in advance if we could be allowed early entry before the 4 PM check-in time. Our international flight arrived at 9:15 AM in Cardiff and we had all of our luggage. We received no response and when we asked upon arrival, we were told no. At 3 PM, we received a call saying that they were sending the cleaning staff to the apartment....at 4 PM we entered and the apartment wasn't ready for another half hour. Clearly the cleaning staff had not started until too late.

Location is very central with a bus line right outside.

- Only short bus ride into centre of Cardiff and opposite park - Clean inside all the rooms in flats - Washing machine, dishwasher and tv all worked well

- Temperamental showers (often ran either very hot or very cold) - Kitchen windows - only 2 out of 5 opened (one was quite dangerous as it slammed down when you tried to open). Made it very warm in flat and this was when the heatwave was over. - No fan provided in flat to help with heat. - Saw rat in front garden by bins on one occasion - No curtain or blind on one of bedroom windows (had to tape a black T-shirt over window each night) - One velux window in bedroom very high and no pole to open window or adjust blind - Very noisy as on very busy main road
