Surf edge villa

amazing location, right on the beach. the beach is pretty much empty and a little slice of paradise. everywhere else we went was very crowded but this was almost all to ourselves and it’s about 1-2 miles long!

the house behind had a party late into the night but the room was still relatively quiet so it wasn’t a problem

Its a little bit far away from shops and restaurants but if you take a drive to the nearest supermarket and buy some groceries it’s perfect. If you are looking for some alone time its the best.

The location is very nice - right on the left side of Kudawella beach. The accomodation also has everything you need: hot shower, AC (though not working optimally), and a kitchenette. I would recommend staying in Kudawella for a nice surfing experience as it's super quiet and has great waves for beginners as well as advanced surfers.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness can use some improvement. We found several hairs on the bed sheets, and there was a distinct chlorine smell in the room. Upon request for clean bed sheets, the host sent a lady who started sweeping and mopping the floors. Clearly the request was misunderstood. Clean bed sheets never arrived. The host was not very friendly, and communication was difficult. He did not help with luggage or anything like that, nor could he smile. Came to collect the money, never asked if we enjoyed our stay. If they improve their service level and cleanliness, perhaps this could be a great place go stay.
